Ayatullah Khamenei on the US & Israel: They Came with Malice, But Were Struck Down and Left Empty-Handed
Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei calls for national unity, warns of US–Israeli failures, and urges strengthening of Basij as a pillar of Iran’s power
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei declared that the United States and the Israeli regime “came with malice, but were struck down and left empty-handed,” emphasizing that their total failure in the 12-Day War became a turning point that strengthened national unity across Iran’s political spectrum.
Opening a televised address to the nation, the Leader said that America and the Israeli occupation not only failed to achieve a single objective but also unintentionally helped unify the Iranian people—including those who had previously held reservations about the system. “What matters is standing together against the enemy, just as we did during the 12-Day War,” he stated.
Unity as a Pillar of National Strength
Ayatullah Khamenei stressed that although differences naturally exist among social groups and political factions, Iran’s decisive victory against the US and Israel demonstrated the power of collective resistance.
He called national unity one of the most crucial elements of Iran’s strength, saying that the enemy’s long-planned psychological and military offensive backfired dramatically:
“They wanted to divide the nation and turn the people against the system. Instead, the opposite occurred. Even those who had disagreements stood alongside the Islamic Republic.”
Basij: A Great National Asset Across Generations
The Leader highlighted the Basij as a “great national treasure” and a movement that must remain strong through all generations.
He praised the readiness and motivation of the country’s youth—described as the fourth generation of Basij—and emphasized that the Basij’s strength comes not only from its organized structure within the IRGC but from its vast nationwide base in every field: industry, science, academia, medicine, production, and public service.
Ayatullah Khamenei stressed that Imam Khomeini envisioned a broad, inclusive Basij, not limited to any class but embracing all committed and faithful citizens.
The 12-Day War: A Strategic Defeat for Washington and Tel Aviv
In a detailed recounting of the conflict, the Leader said the Iranian nation unquestionably defeated both Washington and Tel Aviv.
“They launched their aggression with full force, but they were struck down and returned empty-handed,” he said, noting that the enemy failed to achieve even one of its intended goals.
He referenced reports claiming that the Zionist regime had developed a 20-year plan for provoking internal chaos in Iran. “They wanted to bring the people into confrontation with the system, but they failed so completely that unity emerged even among critics,” he added.
Ayatullah Khamenei acknowledged that Iran sustained losses—“as is natural in war”—but stressed that the enemy’s material and strategic losses far exceeded Iran’s.
US Isolation and Israel’s Global Disgrace
The Leader condemned the Israeli occupation’s crimes in Gaza, describing them as “among the most horrific tragedies in the region’s history,” and said the United States shares responsibility because Israel is incapable of such atrocities without American support.
He described the leader of the Zionist regime as “the most hated man in today’s world” and called the regime itself “the most despised ruling band on earth,” noting that this hatred has now spread to the United States due to its full support for Israel’s war crimes.
He further criticized US interference in Ukraine, West Asia, and Latin America, arguing that American interventions invariably bring “war, destruction, displacement, and loss.”
Ayatullah Khamenei also dismissed claims that Iran had sent messages to Washington through intermediaries, calling such rumours “pure fabrication.”
Final Guidance: Strengthen Unity, Support the Government, Avoid Waste, Turn to God
Ayatullah Khamenei concluded with several recommendations:
1. Preserve National Unity
He reiterated that unity—especially in the face of the enemy—is a central pillar of national power.
2. Support the President and the Government
He urged support for the administration as it continues projects initiated by Martyr Raeisi.
3. Avoid Wastefulness
He warned against waste in bread, food, gas, petrol, and household consumption, calling it a major harm to families and the country.
4. Strengthen Spiritual Connection
He encouraged prayer, supplication, and turning to God for rain, security, well-being, and guidance, so that “God may provide the means for the rectification of affairs.” (PW)
