Ayatullah Khamenei: Iran Advances Steadily Amid Hardships and Enemy Pressure

Leader says the Iranian nation continues moving forward despite shortages and a relentless Western media–political campaign targeting its identity

Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — At a grand ceremony celebrating the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (sa), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, delivered a decisive message affirming that despite widespread pressures, shortages, and coordinated hostile efforts, Iran continues its forward march.

He emphasized that the Iranian people have defeated repeated attempts to alter the nation’s religious, historical, and cultural identity — and remain steadfast against the broad U.S.–European media and propaganda assault.

Ayatullah Khamenei stated that although Iran faces challenges across the country, the nation’s resilience, sincerity, and commitment to justice and truth have ensured continuous progress, even under the heaviest pressure from the Western-dominated hostile front.

The Enemy’s Identity War Against Iran

Ayatullah Khamenei warned that the core of the current confrontation lies in a vast propaganda and psychological campaign aimed at reshaping Iran’s identity.

He noted that the enemy has shifted its strategy toward attacking “minds, hearts, and beliefs,” seeking to erode the Islamic and cultural foundations of the Iranian people.

According to him, despite more than a century of attempts by global powers to alter Iran’s identity, the Islamic Revolution overturned these efforts, and ongoing national resistance continues to neutralize new pressures.

Ayatullah Khamenei explained that the centerpiece of the Western campaign is an attempt to eliminate the ideas, aims, and concepts of the Islamic Revolution and to push Imam Khomeini’s memory into obscurity within society.

He said the United States stands at the core of this hostile front, with some European governments at its side, and a circle of “mercenaries, traitors, and rootless opportunists” active on its margins.

According to the Leader, the enemy’s pressure — whether military, economic, political, cultural, or media-based — is designed to impose surrender. Yet the Iranian people have repeatedly resisted and neutralized these efforts over decades, overturning more than a century of attempts by global powers to manipulate Iran’s identity.

National Resistance Means Enduring and Defeating All Forms of Pressure

Ayatullah Khamenei defined “national resistance” as steadfastness under all forms of pressure — including war, sanctions, media manipulation, cultural influence campaigns, and political coercion.

He stressed that pressures which would have destroyed many other nations have failed to break Iran. Instead, the Iranian people have become more resilient, and the concept of resistance has expanded beyond Iran into the region and even elsewhere.

The Leader warned that Iran now confronts an expansive propaganda and media war, more pervasive than conventional military conflict. The enemy, he said, realized that Iran cannot be subdued militarily, so it has shifted to influencing beliefs and outlooks.

A Ceremony Honoring Lady Fatimah (sa) Highlights Faith, Virtue, and Cultural Strength

Held at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah with thousands in attendance, the ceremony featured eulogies, poetry, and praise for Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (sa).

Ayatullah Khamenei highlighted her unparalleled virtues and called on society to emulate her example in faith, justice-seeking, clarity of truth, family life, and raising children.

He also described maddahi (religious eulogy) as an influential cultural phenomenon and a major foundation of resistance literature. He urged eulogists to deepen their understanding, avoid cultural remnants of the pre-revolutionary era, and enrich gatherings with Qur’anic teachings and meaningful content.

The Leader encouraged eulogists to not merely defend against enemy doubts but also to directly expose the enemy’s vulnerabilities, reinforcing Islamic and revolutionary concepts.

Concluding his address, Ayatullah Khamenei acknowledged the existence of numerous problems across the country but affirmed that—with sincerity, steadfastness, and justice-seeking—the Iranian people continue to strengthen the nation’s honor and power. “By God’s grace, the country is progressing,” he said.
