In a resolute message addressed to the participants of the 40th International Islamic Unity Conference, senior cleric Ayatollah Nour Hamadani underscored that unwavering Muslim unity remains the most vital strategy to defeat the shared enemies of the Ummah.
The Trap of Sectarian Strife
The esteemed Ayatollah noted that Global Arrogance and the Zionist entity are actively working to fracture the Muslim world and establish dominance over Islamic nations. He warned that theological and academic differences must remain confined to scholarly debate and never be weaponised to sow discord, fuel sectarian hatred, or justify bloodshed through baseless accusations of disbelief (Takfir).
The Illusion of Limited Hostility
Ayatollah Hamadani dismantled the illusion that American and Zionist hostility is directed solely at the Islamic Republic of Iran. He cautioned Islamic nations that any country seeking true independence, self-determination, and freedom from foreign hegemony will inevitably face the same imperialist wrath. The ultimate goal of the US and the Zionist regime is to ensure the region remains subservient, weak, and fragmented.
The Red Line: No Normalisation with the Zionist Entity
Affirming the foundational principles of the Islamic Revolution, the Ayatollah declared that the Zionist occupation regime and its arrogant backers are the primary enemies of the Muslim Ummah today.
“Any relations with this regime and any support for its existence are unequivocally contrary to the interests of the Muslim Ummah,” he stated, drawing a firm ideological red line against any normalisation or diplomatic compromise.
Inseparable Security and the Call to Resistance
He reminded leaders and nations that the security and dignity of the Islamic world are deeply intertwined. True, sustainable security cannot be achieved in isolation while neighbouring states suffer from instability and division. Ayatollah Hamadani urged the Ummah to reject reliance on foreign powers who only serve their own interests, and instead stand firmly with the steadfast resistance fronts in Palestine, Lebanon, and across the region. Only through unity, awareness, and cooperation can the Islamic world confront the common enemy.
The Sacred Duty of the Ulama
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Nour Hamadani issued a special directive to Islamic scholars, seminaries (Hawzas), and academic centres. He emphasised that the Ulama bear a profound responsibility to awaken the masses, expose the enemy’s deceit, and foster meaningful dialogue. Madrasas and universities must serve as fortresses of Islamic unity and defenders of the Ummah’s interests, rather than arenas for division that only benefit the Zionist-American axis.
