Ayatollah Khamenei: Persian Gulf’s Bright Future Will Be Without U.S. Presence
Iran’s leadership declares American presence the root of insecurity, asserting regional sovereignty and resistance will shape a new era of stability and prosperity.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, declared that the future of the Persian Gulf will be defined by the complete absence of American influence, describing recent developments as a turning point toward a new regional and global order led by the nations of the region.
In a message issued on the occasion of National Persian Gulf Day, Ayatollah Khamenei framed the strategic waterway not merely as a geographic asset, but as a cornerstone of civilizational identity and global economic stability. He emphasized that the region’s security must be determined by its own nations, not external powers.
“By the grace and power of God, the bright future of the Persian Gulf region will be a future without America, and in service of the progress, comfort, and prosperity of its nations.”
U.S. Presence Declared Primary Source of Insecurity
Ayatollah Khamenei directly challenged the legitimacy of the American military presence across the Persian Gulf, asserting that decades of foreign intervention have brought only instability, exploitation, and repeated aggression.
He stated that recent events—particularly what he described as the humiliating failure of Washington’s latest military campaign—have exposed the fragility of U.S. power and shifted perceptions even among allied governments.
“Today, it has been proven not only to global public opinion and the nations of the region, but even to rulers and governments, that the presence of American foreigners and their entrenchment in the lands of the Persian Gulf is the most important factor of insecurity in the region.”
He further underscored that U.S. military installations in the region lack even the capacity to secure themselves:
“The hollow American bases do not even have the ability to ensure their own security, let alone provide security for their dependents and regional clients.”
Iran’s Resistance Shapes New Strategic Reality
Positioning Iran at the center of resistance against foreign domination, Ayatollah Khamenei described the Islamic Revolution as the decisive turning point in expelling imperial influence from the Persian Gulf.
He highlighted Iran’s historical sacrifices—from expelling colonial forces to defending sovereignty in modern conflicts—as the foundation of today’s strategic posture.
“The Islamic Revolution was the turning point in cutting off the hands of arrogant powers from the Persian Gulf region.”
Referring to the recent escalation and confrontation, he declared that a new chapter is unfolding following what he described as America’s failed campaign:
“Today, after two months since the largest military mobilization and aggression of the world’s bullies in the region, and the disgraceful defeat of America in its plan, a new chapter for the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz is being written.”
Strait of Hormuz and Regional Sovereignty
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed Iran’s central role in managing the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as both a strategic responsibility and a source of stability for global trade—provided it is governed free from foreign interference.
“The Islamic Iran, by giving thanks in action for the blessing of managing the Strait of Hormuz, will secure the Persian Gulf region and will eliminate the exploitation of this waterway by hostile enemies.”
He added that new legal and management frameworks for the strait will serve all regional nations:
“The new legal rules and the implementation of management over the Strait of Hormuz will bring comfort and progress for the benefit of all the nations of the region.”
Unified Nation, Expanding Resistance Front
The message also emphasized the unity of the Iranian people and the expansion of resistance beyond national borders, portraying a mobilized society prepared to defend all dimensions of national strength—from territory to advanced technologies.
“Today, the miraculous awakening of the Iranian nation is not limited to tens of millions ready to sacrifice their lives in the struggle against Zionism and bloodthirsty America.”
“Ninety million honorable Iranian compatriots, inside and outside the country, consider all identity, spiritual, human, scientific, industrial, and advanced technologies as their national capital and will safeguard them just like their land, sea, and air borders.”
Toward a New Regional and Global Order
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Khamenei framed the current trajectory as the beginning of a broader transformation that extends beyond the Persian Gulf, signaling the decline of Western dominance and the rise of independent regional powers.
“This chain of victories, realized by the grace of God and under the policies of resistance and the strategy of a strong Iran, is the dawn of a new regional and global order.”
He reiterated that external powers have no legitimate place in the region:
“We and our neighbors in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are ‘of one destiny,’ and foreigners who come from thousands of kilometers away with greed and malice have no place in it—except in the depths of its waters.”
The Text of The Message is As Follows:
One of the unparalleled blessings of Almighty God for the Muslim nations of our region—especially the noble people of Islamic Iran—is the gift of the “Persian Gulf.” A blessing that goes beyond a mere body of water; it has shaped part of our identity and civilization and, in addition to serving as a point of connection among nations, has created a vital and unique route for the global economy through the Strait of Hormuz and thereafter the Sea of Oman.
This strategic asset has, over past centuries, aroused the greed of many devils. The record of repeated aggressions by European and American foreigners, the insecurity, damages, and numerous threats imposed on the countries of the region are only a small part of the sinister plots of the global arrogant powers against the inhabitants of the Persian Gulf region—the most recent example being the recent acts of thuggery by the Great Satan.
The Iranian nation, which possesses the longest coastline along the Persian Gulf, has made the greatest sacrifices for the independence of the Persian Gulf and in confronting foreigners and aggressors—from expelling the Portuguese and liberating the Strait of Hormuz, which became the basis for naming the 10th of Ordibehesht as National Persian Gulf Day, to fighting against Dutch colonialism and the epics of resistance against British colonialism, and so on. However, the Islamic Revolution was the turning point in curbing the influence of arrogant powers in the Persian Gulf region. Today, after two months since the largest military mobilization and aggression by the world’s bullies in the region, and the disgraceful defeat of America in its plan, a new chapter for the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz is being written.
The nations of the Persian Gulf region, who for many years had become accustomed to the silence and submission of their rulers in the face of bullies and aggressors, have in the past sixty days witnessed the beautiful manifestations of strength, vigilance, and struggle by the brave men of the naval forces of the Army and the IRGC, alongside the honor and valor of the people and youth of southern Iran in rejecting foreign domination.
Today, by the grace of Almighty God and by the blessing of the blood of the مظلوم martyrs of the third imposed war—especially the great and farsighted Leader of the Islamic Revolution, may his noble station be exalted—it has been proven not only to global public opinion and the nations of the region, but even to kings and rulers of countries, that the presence of American foreigners and their entrenchment and nesting in the lands of the Persian Gulf is the most important cause of insecurity in the region. The hollow American bases do not even have the ability to ensure their own security, let alone provide any hope of securing their dependents and the America-worshippers of the region.
By the will and power of God, the bright future of the Persian Gulf region will be a future without America, and in the service of the progress, comfort, and welfare of its nations. We, together with our neighbors across the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, share a “common destiny,” and the foreigners who come from thousands of kilometers away with greed and malice have no place in it except in the depths of its waters. This chain of victory, realized by the grace of the Almighty and under the policies of resistance and the strategy of a strong Iran, is the dawn of a new regional and global order.
Today, the miraculous awakening of the Iranian nation is not limited to tens of millions ready to sacrifice themselves in the struggle against Zionism and blood-shedding America. At the forefront of the unified ranks of the awakened Islamic Ummah, ninety million honorable Iranian compatriots—inside and outside the country—consider all their identity, spiritual, human, scientific, industrial, and advanced foundational and emerging technologies—from nano and bio to nuclear and missile—as their national capital, and they will safeguard them just like their land, sea, and air borders.
Islamic Iran, by giving practical thanks for the blessing of exercising management over the Strait of Hormuz, will secure the Persian Gulf region and will remove the means of exploitation of this waterway by hostile enemies. The legal frameworks and the implementation of new management over the Strait of Hormuz will bring comfort and progress for the benefit of all the nations of the region, and its economic blessings will bring joy to the hearts of the people—God willing, even if the disbelievers detest it.
