Ayatollah Khamenei: Iran Listens to Legitimate Protest, Confronts Foreign-Backed Riots
Leader warns currency volatility and unrest are being weaponized by hostile powers, drawing a clear line between lawful protest and foreign-driven sabotage.
Iran | PUREWILAYAH.COM — Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei declared that sharp fluctuations in Iran’s currency and ongoing economic instability are not natural developments, but the result of deliberate hostile operations aimed at destabilizing society and undermining national resilience.
Addressing recent economic protests, Ayatollah Khamenei acknowledged the existence of legitimate public grievances, particularly concerning currency volatility and business uncertainty. However, he stressed that foreign exchange shocks are being engineered by hostile powers as part of a broader economic war against the Iranian nation.
He warned that enemies are attempting to exploit public complaints by inserting provocateurs into demonstrations in order to incite unrest, spread anti-Islamic slogans, and convert lawful protest into organized sabotage.
The Leader drew a clear distinction between legitimate economic Protests and foreign-driven chaos, emphasizing that disorder serves only the enemies of Iran.
“Iran Will Not Bow to Threats or Deception”
Concluding his remarks on foreign pressure, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation has fully recognized the true nature of the United States, noting that even while negotiations were underway, Washington was simultaneously preparing confrontation behind the scenes.
He stressed that unity, vigilance, and resistance remain Iran’s strongest defenses, declaring that the Islamic Republic will not submit to intimidation, coercion, or psychological warfare.
“With reliance on God and the support of the people,” he said, “the enemy will be brought to its knees.”

US–Israeli Soft War After Military Failure
Ayatollah Khamenei warned that after failing to defeat Iran through direct military confrontation, the United States and its allies—particularly the Zionist regime—have intensified a campaign of soft war based on deception, disinformation, and psychological operations.
He explained that soft war seeks to demoralize society, erode confidence, and weaken national unity by suppressing Iran’s achievements while exaggerating economic and social pressures.
Youth Power and National Capabilities Targeted
Highlighting Iran’s scientific and technological advances under sanctions, the Leader pointed to achievements in aerospace, energy, defense industries, medicine, biotechnology, and missile development.
He said the enemy’s primary fear lies in Iran’s young, capable generation, noting recent space launches conducted by teams with an average age of 26 as evidence of the country’s strategic depth.
Imam Ali as the Model of Justice and Piety
The Leader also addressed the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, describing him as the pinnacle of justice and piety, and stressing that these two principles must remain the foundation of Islamic governance.
He said justice under Imam Ali was applied through compassion for the oppressed, firmness against aggressors, and moral clarity in leadership—standards the Islamic Republic must continuously strive to uphold.
Soleimani’s Legacy of Faith and Action
Commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Qassem Soleimani, Ayatollah Khamenei dismissed hostile narratives against the late commander as empty slander.
He described Soleimani as a man of faith, sincerity, and action whose influence extended across military, political, and educational arenas, adding that the growing crowds at his grave testify to the failure of enemy efforts to erase his legacy. (PW)
