Ayatollah Khamenei Hails Massive Turnout on 47th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution
Leader says nationwide 22 Bahman rallies strengthened the Islamic Republic, reinforced unity, and frustrated enemies seeking Iran’s submission.
Iran | PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei praised the massive nationwide participation of the Iranian people in the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, declaring that the historic turnout strengthened the Islamic Republic and shattered the expectations of its adversaries.
In a televised address marking the 22 Bahman commemorations, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the million-strong gatherings across the country as a powerful demonstration of national unity, dignity, and unwavering support for the Islamic Republic.
A Display of National Strength and Unity
Referring to the widespread rallies held throughout Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the people’s presence in the streets was not merely symbolic, but a clear political and historical statement.
“On the 22nd of Bahman this year, you accomplished a great deed,” he told the Iranian nation. “You honored Iran. As always, by supporting the Islamic Republic, you strengthened its power and disappointed those enemies who were seeking the submission of the Iranian nation.”
The Leader stated that the massive participation served as a source of pride and reinforced the authority and resilience of the Islamic Republic in the face of sustained external pressure.
According to Ayatollah Khamenei, those who had hoped to see Iran weakened or coerced into surrender were left disillusioned by the scale and determination of the public turnout.
Enemies’ Hopes Dashed
Ayatollah Khamenei underscored that hostile powers had openly expressed their desire to see the Iranian nation submit. However, the unprecedented mobilization on 22 Bahman, he said, rendered those ambitions futile.
“The enemies who, in their statements and plans, were seeking the submission of the Iranian nation, were disappointed,” he declared.
The anniversary rallies, attended by millions across cities and towns nationwide, once again demonstrated the depth of popular backing for the Revolution’s ideals—independence, dignity, and resistance to foreign domination.
Greater Dignity, Stronger Independence
The Leader described the outcome of this collective national movement as an increase in Iran’s dignity, authority, and independence.
He called on the people to safeguard the unity displayed during the commemorations:
“Let us all strive to preserve this valuable and precious bond of national cohesion.”
Ayatollah Khamenei further commended the people’s unified voice, their shared slogans, and their reaffirmation of national identity in the face of adversaries.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks and abundant salutations to every single participant in this magnificent and million-strong gathering across the country,” he concluded.
The 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution thus stood not only as a commemoration of history, but as a renewed declaration of national resolve—signaling that the Iranian nation remains steadfast, united, and resistant to external pressure. (PW)
