Ayatollah Khamenei Expresses Appreciation to Sunni Scholars of Kurdistan Province
Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei expresses appreciation for condolences from Sunni scholars following the martyrdom of Iran’s revolutionary leader.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, expressed appreciation to Sunni scholars in Kurdistan Province for their message of condolences following the martyrdom of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the message was issued in response to expressions of sympathy conveyed by the scholars.
“Honorable scholars of Kurdistan Province, peace be upon you,” the message read. “While thanking you for your expression of sympathy and condolences on the martyrdom of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran (may God sanctify his pure soul),
I also express my gratitude for your kindness toward me. May Almighty God grant you success and support in serving the true religion of Islam.”
Sunni Cleric Reaffirms Support for Leadership
In a separate development, Molavi Shahab al-Din Ara, a Sunni cleric from Sangān in Khaf County, stated that it is the duty of every Iranian to stand behind the leadership under Wilayat al-Faqih.
Speaking at a public gathering pledging allegiance to the Supreme Leader, he cited the Qur’anic verse: “O you who believe! Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you.”
“It is the duty of every Iranian to stand behind the leadership,” he said.
He also stated that the selection of the current Leader was rightful and called for unity and participation in the affairs of the Islamic Revolution. (PW)
