Ayatollah Khamenei Calls to Strengthen Unity, Warns Against Enemy Division Plots
The Supreme Leader says enemies seek social division after failing militarily, calls on Parliament to strengthen hope, stability, and national cohesion
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei said Iran’s enemies are attempting to create internal division and social fragmentation after failing to break the Islamic Republic through war, sanctions, and political pressure, stressing that national unity remains one of the country’s greatest strengths against foreign plots.
In a message marking the anniversary of the opening of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the beginning of the third year of the 12th Parliament, the Leader praised the steadfastness of the Iranian people and called on officials, lawmakers, and political figures to preserve the unity that emerged across the country following the recent confrontations.
“The blind scheme of the enemy, after the imposed war, economic pressure, and propaganda and political siege, is to create division and social fragmentation in order to compensate for its military defeats and bring the nation to its knees,” Ayatollah Khamenei stated.
He warned that after failing on the battlefield, the enemy is now focusing on psychological warfare and internal discord to weaken Iran from within.
“Do Not Turn Differences Into Division”
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that all those who support Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and Iran’s independence have a responsibility to safeguard national cohesion and prevent disagreements from turning into destructive conflict.
“It is necessary for every self-sacrificing individual whose heart beats for Islam and the Revolution, or for the independence and dignity of Iran, to strive more than ever from this point onward to preserve the unity of the nation’s interconnected and cohesive ranks, and not allow unjustified — or even justified — disagreements to turn into conflict and division.”
The Leader described national unity under the banner of the Islamic Republic as one of the decisive factors behind Iran’s victories against its enemies.
“Among the manifestations of piety is preserving the immense blessing of national unity and the unparalleled cohesion granted to the awakened nation under the flag of Islamic Iran, which stands among the most important factors behind victory against the Great Satan.”
Parliament Must Build Hope and Stability
Ayatollah Khamenei also called on Parliament to focus its legislation on hope-building, reconstruction, economic stability, and solving the real problems faced by the Iranian people.
“Parliament’s legislation must be oriented toward generating hope and shaping the country’s future.”
He said society needs visible signs of stability and a clear national direction in order to move confidently toward the future.
“Society, above all else, needs to witness real signs of hope, a stable path, and a clear outlook for the future so that it can plan and move forward accordingly.”
The Leader further urged lawmakers to prioritize resistance economy policies, anti-corruption measures, inflation control, production growth, employment, and reconstruction efforts following the recent wars imposed on Iran.
He called for coordination between all branches of government under the slogan:
“Resistance Economy under the Shadow of National Unity and National Security.”
Praise for Iranian People’s Steadfastness
Ayatollah Khamenei praised the Iranian people for what he described as their steadfastness and elevated spirit during the “Third Sacred Defense,” saying recent events revealed the true character of the nation to both allies and enemies alike.
“Now, three months after the Third Sacred Defense, the inner essence and true character of the Iranian people — in faith, hope, and action — have been proven to both friend and foe alike.”
The Leader described Parliament as a “frontline trench” in the path of rebuilding and advancing the country.
“In this field of jihad, the seat of representation is regarded as a frontline trench in the transformation and progress of the country.”
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran remains a nation that stands firmly against oppression and aggression while shaping the future through resistance and perseverance.
“A noble nation that has stood firm against the oppression and aggression of the savage and impure tyrants of this age and is guiding history toward its rightful direction.”

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
I congratulate the blessed Eid al-Adha and the anniversary of the opening of the first term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly to the great nation of Islamic Iran and the honorable representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. On this occasion, I express my appreciation for the efforts of the representatives, especially the respected Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Ghalibaf, in the path of elevating the country.
The Islamic Consultative Assembly is the essence of the nation, the manifestation of religious democracy, and the pillar of law and legislation in the Islamic Republic, playing a significant role in implementing the will of the people. Now, three months after the Third Sacred Defense, the inner essence and true character of the Iranian people — in faith, hope, and action — have been proven to both friend and foe alike. The elevation of the standing of the Iranian people has revealed a dazzling manifestation of the nation’s virtues.
Since the true representative of the nation must be of the same nature as the nation itself, the current moment is a turning point for the manifestation of the people’s awakening within the representatives and the Parliament, so that they may organize their role and responsibilities in accordance with the level of this awakened nation and, through intensified work and innovation, deepen and accelerate legislation and oversight in laying the foundations for the future of Islamic Iran.
In this field of jihad, the seat of representation is regarded as a frontline trench in the transformation and progress of the country. Therefore, it is fitting for the representatives of the nation — relying upon divine assistance, seeking intercession through our Master and Leader, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, and honoring the pure blood of the مظلوم martyrs of the two imposed American-Zionist wars, foremost among them our great martyred leader, may Allah elevate his noble station — to devote all their capabilities and capacities in a jihadi manner toward synergistic governance alongside the government and other institutions, while preserving the independence of the legislative branch.
This effort must be directed toward the worthy reconstruction of the country, resolving the concerns of the people — especially economic and livelihood issues — revitalizing production and employment, elevating the level of science and industry, promoting culture and ethics, combating financial corruption, controlling inflation and rising prices, and comprehensive deprivation removal.
Accordingly, parliamentary legislation must have a direct and visible connection with the country’s main issues and the needs of the people, while being oriented toward generating hope and shaping the country’s future. Society, above all else, needs to witness real signs of hope, a stable path, and a clear outlook for the future so that it can plan and move forward accordingly.
Through their positions, legislation, and speeches, members of Parliament can transform the Islamic Consultative Assembly into a driving force for hope-building. Especially in the current situation, in coordination with the executive and judicial branches, and focusing on the slogan “Resistance Economy under the Shadow of National Unity and National Security” in the year 1405, they must place economic stability, inflation reduction, liquidity management, production growth, reform of the Seventh Development Plan, and the addition of provisions related to reconstruction and compensation for the damages of the second and third imposed wars at the forefront of their agenda, while outlining the roadmap for the government and other sectors in the current and post-war conditions.
To fulfill a role befitting the awakened nation, various prerequisites and requirements are necessary. In this brief opportunity, I merely recommend to my dear brothers and sisters the careful and serious study of the detailed statements of our great martyred leader, may Allah elevate his noble station, delivered during the annual meetings with members of Parliament, especially in recent years, which contain valuable practical and experiential lessons.
Naturally, personal piety plays a fundamental role in ensuring adherence to these guidelines and the proper fulfillment of these grave responsibilities during the current sensitive period. Correctly identifying priorities, issuing judgments based on deep expert consultation and study, maintaining close ties with the people, comprehensive anti-corruption efforts, prioritizing national interests and public demands over factional, group, or regional interests, attention to parliamentary diplomacy, courage and clear, powerful positions against the excessive demands of the arrogant powers, and an intelligent revolutionary understanding of Iran’s new position in the region and the world are among these requirements.
Among the manifestations of piety is preserving the immense blessing of national unity and the unparalleled cohesion granted to the awakened nation under the flag of Islamic Iran, which stands among the most important factors behind victory against the Great Satan. Gratitude for this blessing requires all segments of the nation — especially intellectual and political elites, including members of Parliament — to safeguard this unity and avoid futile political disputes and the magnification of social differences.

With hope that the prayers of our Master, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, will support and guide you and attract divine success for you, dear ones.
