Ayatollah Khamenei Calls for Honoring Martyrs and Strengthening Unity on National Days
Iran’s Leader calls for honoring martyrs of the Third Imposed War through national unity and reconstruction, presenting it as a direct response to U.S.–Israeli aggression and war crimes.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has called on the Iranian nation to honor the martyrs of the Third Imposed War and strengthen national unity, marking Islamic Republic Day and the approaching Nature Day with a message centered on resilience, reconstruction, and resistance.
In his message, the Leader described this year’s national commemorations as intertwined with sacrifice and dignity, highlighting the steadfastness of the Iranian people in the face of ongoing U.S.–Israeli aggression.
He stressed that every act contributing to the country’s development and future—particularly in the current conditions of war—represents a meaningful national response to enemy aggression.
“Saplings of Hope” as a National Response to War Crimes
At the heart of the message was a call for collective action across cities and villages, urging citizens to plant and nurture trees from Nature Day through the end of spring as a symbol of renewal and national strength.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that this initiative is dedicated to all martyrs, especially those of the ongoing war, transforming loss into long-term growth and resilience.
He stated that American and Israeli forces have committed brutal acts, including the killing of children, underscoring the urgency of a unified national response.
By planting what he described as “Saplings of Hope,” the Iranian nation honors the martyrs while actively rebuilding and strengthening the country’s future—ensuring that each sapling grows into a lasting symbol of resistance and life.
Unity as a Strategic Response to Aggression
The Leader framed unity not only as a social necessity but as a strategic pillar in confronting external aggression, stressing that national cohesion is essential in times of war and pressure.
He underscored that acts of construction, development, and environmental renewal stand in direct contrast to the destruction inflicted by enemy forces, reinforcing Iran’s long-term strength.
From Martyrdom to a Future of Strength
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Khamenei positioned the honoring of martyrs as inseparable from building the nation’s future, calling on all sectors of society to participate in shaping a resilient and self-reliant Iran.

“He brought you forth from the earth and settled you therein.” (Qur’an)
The heroic nation of Iran has intertwined this year’s Nowruz with epic dignity and honor. After commemorating the 12th of Farvardin—the Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran—they now move forward to welcome Nature Day.
At a time when the despicable and ruthless American and Zionist enemy recognizes no boundaries—neither human, nor moral, nor even the sanctity of life—and has extended its aggression to the natural and environmental spaces of our beloved homeland, every step taken toward development, reconstruction, and building a radiant future for Iran is both worthy and necessary.
Among these commendable acts is for all members of the public, across cities and villages alike, to join hands—with coordination and support from the relevant institutions—from Nature Day until the end of spring, especially throughout the days of Farvardin, to plant fruitful trees and ensure their proper care thereafter.
The monstrous, child-killing American and Zionist forces have brutally martyred the young saplings of the Shajareh Tayyibah school. Yet the Iranian nation, in honor of all martyrs—especially the martyrs of the Third Imposed War—will plant the Saplings of Hope across the land, so that each of these saplings may, in the years to come, grow into a blessed tree and a fruitful legacy, God willing.
