Ayatollah Araki: Martyr Raeisi Embodied Managerial Resistance and Islamic Leadership
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, a senior cleric and member of the Assembly of Experts, hailed Martyr Raeisi as a living embodiment of managerial resistance and Islamic governance
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — In a heartfelt tribute to the late President Martyr Ebrahim Raeisi, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, a senior cleric and member of the Assembly of Experts, hailed him as a living embodiment of managerial resistance and Islamic governance, urging future Iranian leaders to follow in his footsteps.
Speaking at a memorial ceremony honoring the Martyrs of Service at Feyziyeh School in Qom recently, Ayatollah Araki emphasized that Martyr Raeisi’s approach to leadership represents a timeless model rooted in faith, self-sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the people.
Martyr Raeisi Defied the “We Cannot” Mentality
Ayatollah Araki stressed that Martyr Raeisi proved — both in word and deed — that Islamic governance is capable of solving national crises, even during the most challenging times.
“Before him, a mindset of ‘we cannot’ prevailed. But Martyr Raeisi demonstrated that with faith and resolve, we can,” said Ayatollah Araki.
A Humble Servant of the People
Ayatollah Araki described Martyr Raeisi as a leader devoted entirely to lifting burdens off the shoulders of the people, particularly the underprivileged and those in remote areas.
“He was an example of compassionate and humble leadership,” said the Ayatollah. “The suffering of the people took sleep from his eyes. His greatest concern was alleviating their pain.”
Islamic Principles Put Into Practice
Ayatollah Araki emphasized that Martyr Raeisi’s presidency was not only efficient but also firmly rooted in Islamic values, countering those who claim that Islam is impractical in state affairs.
“Martyr Raeisi proved that Islam is not only spiritual guidance but also a practical force for resolving societal problems,” he asserted.
Guarding the Revolution from Within
A cornerstone of Martyr Raeisi’s leadership, according to Ayatollah Araki, was unshakable distrust toward the enemies of Iran, which led him to block all channels of foreign influence and deviation.
“He surrounded himself only with God-fearing, revolutionary individuals,” Ayatollah Araki said. “He avoided the weak, the infiltrated, and those lacking revolutionary conviction.”
Iran Needs Managerial Resistance
Ayatollah Araki concluded by stating that Iran must embrace the concept of managerial resistance — a leadership style that persists through adversity with hard work, strategic insight, and deep reliance on God.
“Martyr Raeisi never surrendered to despair. He never said problems were unsolvable. This resistance mindset must be the standard by which future leaders are judged,” he affirmed.
Martyr Raeisi, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other senior officials, was martyred in a tragic helicopter crash in northwest Iran. Their dedication and sacrifice have left a legacy that continues to inspire the Iranian nation. (PW)
