Ayatollah Arafi’s Letter to Sheikh Qassem: You Have Presented a Radiant Image of an Unbreakable Will to the World
Iran’s senior cleric praises Lebanon’s resistance for exposing the fragility of the occupying entity, as steadfastness and sacrifice reshape the balance on the ground
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Head of Iran’s Islamic seminaries, Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi, affirmed that the resistance in Lebanon has presented to the world a clear image of an unbreakable will, stressing that the Lebanese people have proven their ability to shatter military myths and expose the fragility of the occupying entity despite its vast war machine.
In a message addressed to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Ayatollah Arafi stated that what is unfolding reflects not only battlefield developments, but a deeper reality rooted in faith, endurance, and divine promise.
Resistance Rooted in Faith and Certainty
Opening his message with Quranic verses affirming divine support for believers, Ayatollah Arafi wrote that the voice of God’s unwavering promise rises above the noise of war, emphasizing that victory remains a divine certainty.
He stressed that the resistance front moves forward with confidence and conviction, grounded in unchanging divine laws, and supported by a foundation that does not collapse. According to Ayatollah Arafi, the intensification of aggression only signals the nearness of victory, as history repeatedly demonstrates that steadfast resistance ultimately prevails.
Martyrdom and Leadership Illuminate the Path
Ayatollah Arafi paid tribute to the martyrs who paved the path of dignity and resistance, highlighting leading figures whose sacrifices continue to guide the movement.
He described their legacy as a source of insight and direction for the fighters, emphasizing that their pure blood represents a renewed covenant to keep the banner of jihad raised until victory is achieved.
Suffering Strengthens the Will of the People
Addressing the current hardships faced by the Lebanese people, Ayatollah Arafi stressed that suffering has not weakened their resolve but has instead strengthened it.
He underlined that resistance today is not a matter of choice, but an existential necessity imposed by the nation’s dignity and its right to liberation.
He further noted that the sacrifices made by fighters and the heroic stances displayed on the battlefield are a natural continuation of a long history of struggle and perseverance.
Lebanon Sets an Example of Steadfastness
Ayatollah Arafi praised the Lebanese people—men, women, and youth—for presenting a unique model of resilience to the world. He said their popular resistance has become a symbol of pride and a source of inspiration for all nations seeking freedom and dignity.
He emphasized that the strength of the resistance lies not only in its weapons, but in the living will of the people who support it and endure sacrifices alongside it.
Southern Front Turns into a Field of Heroism
Referring to southern Lebanon, Ayatollah Arafi described it as more than just land, calling it a heart that beats with honor. He noted that villages subjected to enemy aggression have become arenas of heroism, where the legacy of sacrifice continues to be written.
Quoting the Quran, he reiterated that small groups can overcome larger forces by God’s will, framing the ongoing confrontation as part of a broader divine and historical pattern.
Exposing the Fragility of the Enemy
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Arafi affirmed that the Lebanese resistance has delivered a powerful message to the world: a people with unbreakable will can dismantle military myths and reveal the inherent weakness of the occupying entity, regardless of the scale of its war machine.
He stressed that what is being witnessed is not merely a confrontation of arms, but a deeper struggle in which steadfastness, faith, and endurance redefine the balance of power.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Do not lose heart nor fall into despair—you shall be superior if you are true believers.”
“If Allah supports you, none can overcome you.”His Eminence, the Mujahid Sheikh, the esteemed scholar Sheikh Naim Qassem, Leader of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (may God protect and preserve him),
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you,
I write to you from the heart of the battlefield, where flames rise and the sounds of artillery echo across the horizon. Yet above this noise, one voice rises—unfading, a promise that no smoke can extinguish: the voice of God’s unchanging laws in granting victory to His striving servants:
“It is incumbent upon Us to grant victory to the believers.”
Indeed, God’s promise never fails. The dawn of victory draws nearer the darker the aggression becomes. The resistance front, founded upon the divine principles taught by heaven—principles that never change—moves forward with confidence and certainty, for it rests upon a foundation that does not collapse, where God’s victory never abandons His allies.
At this moment, we recall with the utmost reverence and honor the caravans of martyrs who ascended on the path of dignity and honor. At their forefront stand the martyr Imam and inspiring leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and the distinguished martyr commander, the beloved Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Their lives became a guiding vision illuminating the path for the mujahideen, a compass for the resistance, and their pure blood remains a renewed covenant that the banner of jihad will continue to rise until God’s promise of victory is fulfilled.
The suffering our people endure today does not weaken their will—it only strengthens it. Resistance today is no longer a choice; it is an existential necessity imposed by the dignity of the الأمة (nation) and its right to liberation. The immense sacrifices offered by the mujahideen, and the heroic stances written by these fighters, are but a natural continuation of a long journey of struggle and steadfastness.
Likewise, the great people of Lebanon—its men, women, and patient youth—have presented to the world a unique model of resilience and firmness, until their popular resistance has become a symbol of pride and a source of inspiration for all peoples yearning for freedom and dignity.
The greatness of the resistance lies not only in its weapons, but in the living will of its people who embraced it and endured sacrifices alongside it. Today, the South is not merely land—it is a heart that beats with honor, a living testament of dignity flowing through the veins of a weary humanity. The villages of southern Lebanon, struck by the enemy’s aggression, have become fields of heroism, immortalized by the sons of the school of martyrdom.
“How many a small group has overcome a mighty force by the permission of Allah.”
The people have presented to the world a radiant image of an unbreakable will—a people capable of shattering military myths and exposing the fragility of the entity, no matter how vast its war machine or how fortified its structure may be. (PW)
