Armed Resistance Strikes in Occupied al-Quds
Seven Israeli Settlers Killed, 21 Injured in Ramot Junction Shooting. One of the assailants was disguised as a police officer. Weapons used included a makeshift “Carlo” submachine gun and a pistol.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Seven Israeli settlers were killed and at least 21 others injured — five in critical condition — in a shooting operation at the Ramot Junction in occupied al-Quds, according to Israeli media.
Reports indicate that the Palestinian fighters boarded a bus stuck in traffic at the junction and opened fire at close range. One of the assailants was disguised as a police officer. Weapons used included a makeshift “Carlo” submachine gun and a pistol.
Israeli media claimed the attackers came from al-Qubayba and Qatnah. Both were killed at the scene. Police are investigating a suspicious object found nearby, while all roads to al-Quds have been sealed.
The operation comes amid heightened Israeli aggression in the West Bank, including raids on towns, villages, and refugee camps; arbitrary arrests; home demolitions; and extrajudicial killings of Palestinians.
Resistance Statements
Hamas: Described the attack as “a clear message” that the occupation’s crimes in Gaza and its desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque will not go unpunished. The group called it a “natural response” to the ongoing genocide, urging Palestinians to escalate confrontations across the West Bank.
Islamic Jihad: Declared the operation “a natural response” to the Israeli entity’s crimes in Gaza, the West Bank, and 1948-occupied territories, as well as its repressive policies in prisons.
Al-Quds Brigades: Emphasized it was a legitimate act against ongoing Israeli atrocities across occupied Palestinian lands.
Mujahideen Movement: Called the operation “a message written in fire” in response to Zionist aggression, urging precision strikes against occupation forces and settler militias. (PW)
