Araghchi to Zelensky: The World Is Tired of “Confused Clowns”
Iran’s foreign minister slams Ukraine’s president for hypocrisy and corruption, condemning his calls for unlawful U.S. aggression against Iran as a blatant violation of the UN Charter
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered a sharp and unapologetic rebuke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, denouncing his hypocrisy, corruption, and open endorsement of illegal military aggression against Iran.
In a public statement issued on Thursday via X, Araghchi rejected Zelensky’s posturing on international law, portraying him as a political actor who exploits Western taxpayers while demanding violations of the very legal principles he selectively invokes.
Zelensky Rinsing Western Taxpayers to Enrich Corrupt Generals
Araghchi directly exposed Zelensky’s financial and moral posture, describing the Ukrainian leadership as dependent on Western funds siphoned into corrupt military structures under the cover of moral rhetoric.
“Zelensky has been rinsing American and European taxpayers to fill the pockets of his corrupt generals, all while claiming to confront an unlawful aggression in violation of the UN Charter,” Araghchi wrote.
The remarks framed Kiev’s leadership as a Western-backed project shielded by propaganda, where selective outrage replaces any genuine commitment to international law.
Zelensky’s Open Endorsement of Illegal U.S. War Against Iran
Araghchi identified the core contradiction at the heart of Zelensky’s political stance: invoking the UN Charter to condemn Russia while openly endorsing unlawful U.S. military aggression against Iran.
“At the same time, he openly and unashamedly calls for unlawful U.S. aggression against Iran in violation of the same UN Charter,” Araghchi stated.
By highlighting this contradiction, Tehran positioned Zelensky not as a defender of international law, but as an active proponent of U.S.-led militarism and coercion directed against sovereign states.
“The World Has Had Enough of Confused Clowns”
In the most forceful segment of his response, Araghchi dismissed Zelensky’s credibility outright, drawing a stark contrast between Ukraine’s foreign dependency and Iran’s sovereign defense doctrine.
“The world has had enough of Confused Clowns, Mr. Zelensky,” Araghchi declared.
“Unlike your foreign-backed and mercenary-infested military, we Iranians know how to defend ourselves and have no need to beg foreigners for help.”
The statement reaffirmed Iran’s strategic posture under Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei: resistance, self-reliance, and the rejection of foreign military tutelage.
Davos Propaganda Against Iran Rejected by Tehran
Araghchi’s response followed Zelensky’s remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the Ukrainian president echoed familiar Western propaganda against Iran, alleging that Iran’s leadership had “killed thousands” and portraying foreign intervention as a moral necessity.
Tehran rejected these narratives outright, viewing them as projection tactics designed to justify aggression against a sovereign state while diverting attention from Kiev’s own reliance on U.S. and NATO escalation.
Iran Rejects Washington’s “Rules-Based Order”
Araghchi’s remarks aligned with Iran’s broader diplomatic stance: the United States and its allies weaponize the UN Charter selectively—condemning adversaries while normalizing assassinations, wars, and sanctions campaigns under the banner of a so-called “rules-based order.”
Iran reinforced its position that sovereignty is not negotiable, foreign-backed militaries do not define legitimacy, and U.S.-led interventionism—whether direct or proxy-driven—will not be tolerated against the Islamic Republic. (PW)
