Araghchi: Iran’s Return to War Will Bring “Far Greater Surprises”
Senior Iranian officials declare that the country is fully prepared to confront any military attack, stressing that surrender has no place in Iran’s doctrine
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi warned that if war is imposed again on the Islamic Republic, Iran’s return to the battlefield will be accompanied by “far greater surprises” than those already witnessed during the recent U.S.-Israeli aggression.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Araghchi pointed to new admissions by the U.S. Congress regarding the scale of military losses suffered during the war against Iran.
“Months after the start of the war against Iran, the U.S. Congress has acknowledged the destruction of dozens of aircraft worth billions of dollars,” Araghchi wrote.
He added that it has now been officially confirmed that Iran’s armed forces became the first military in the world to shoot down the advanced and highly publicized Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.
“With the lessons we have learned and the knowledge we have gained, rest assured that our return to the battlefield will be accompanied by far greater surprises,” the Iranian foreign minister declared.
Iran Fully Prepared to Confront Any Military Attack
Separately, Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, said Tehran is “united and decisively prepared” to respond to any act of military aggression.
His remarks came in response to statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who reportedly said Washington had only “temporarily” halted attacks on Iran in order to allow negotiations to proceed, while maintaining that it remained ready to launch a large-scale assault at any moment.
“The United States says it has ‘temporarily’ stopped attacking Iran to give diplomacy a chance, yet simultaneously speaks of readiness for a massive strike at any time,” Gharibabadi wrote. “This means calling a threat an opportunity for peace.”
He stressed that surrender has no meaning for the Iranian nation.
“For us, surrender has no meaning. We will either achieve victory or attain martyrdom,” he said.
Gharibabadi concluded by invoking the words of Martyr Rajab Beigi: “We are a great nation. Record our name in history. Among all colors, we chose red; and among all forms of death, we chose martyrdom.”
The statements by Araghchi and Gharibabadi underscore Tehran’s confidence in its military capabilities and its determination to respond forcefully to any renewed U.S. or Israeli aggression. (PW)
