Arab Regimes Protect U.S. Bases Used to Attack Muslim Nations: Sayyed Abdulmalik
Sayyed Abdulmalik says U.S. bases across the Gulf are used to launch attacks on regional nations while some Arab governments defend, fund, and politically protect them.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi said that American military bases spread across Arab countries—particularly in the Gulf—serve as key platforms for U.S. military aggression against nations in the region.
Speaking during his Ramadan lecture, the Ansarullah leader addressed the role of these bases in ongoing regional conflicts and the position taken by some Arab governments in relation to them.
U.S. Bases Used for Attacks on Regional Nations
Sayyed Abdulmalik explained that American forces use military installations across several Arab countries to conduct attacks against Muslim nations, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said that when Iran responds to these attacks by targeting the bases used against it, some Arab governments react with anger and portray Iran’s response as aggression against their own countries.
“When the Iranian side responds to those bases that attack it,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said, “some Arab regimes become angry and portray the defense of the Iranian people as aggression against Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, or the Emirates.”
According to Sayyed Abdulmalik, these governments actively attempt to shield the bases from retaliation even though those installations are used to launch attacks on other nations.
Political and Financial Protection for American Bases
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that several Arab governments provide political, military, financial, and media support for American military installations in the region.
He said that some of these countries even finance the operational costs of maintaining the bases.
“They provide protection and political cover for those bases,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said. “Some of them even bear the full financial costs of these bases that are used to carry out aggression.”
He added that the same governments expect nations that come under attack from those bases to remain silent and refrain from defending themselves.
A Double Standard Toward the Oppressed
Sayyed Abdulmalik questioned the logic that demands oppressed nations accept attacks without resistance simply because the aggression originates from bases located in another country.
“Why should any nation remain silent while its people are being killed and its country is being destroyed?” he asked.
He described this situation as a clear example of injustice and domination imposed on oppressed nations.
“They want the oppressed to remain restrained and unable to defend themselves,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said, “even when aggression is launched against them from those very bases.”
Hypocrisy Within the Region
Sayyed Abdulmalik stated that this reality exposes what he described as a broader pattern of hypocrisy within parts of the region.
He said some governments align themselves politically and strategically with powers responsible for aggression while opposing movements that defend oppressed peoples.
According to Sayyed Abdulmalik, such policies do not only affect Iran but also impact other nations and peoples across the region who face similar pressures.
“This reveals a clear state of tyranny and injustice,” he said, adding that cooperation with external powers against the interests of the region ultimately harms the entire Islamic world. (PW)
