SANA’A – In a landmark televised address marking the 12th anniversary of the historic September 21 Revolution, the leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, exposed deepening military collusion between the Saudi regime and the Zionist enemy while reaffirming Yemen’s unbreakable sovereignty.
In a major revelation, Sayyed al-Houthi announced that Saudi Arabia has permitted Israeli reconnaissance aircraft to operate directly from military bases within the kingdom. This cooperation allows the Zionist regime to conduct espionage and reconnaissance operations against the Arab Peninsula, marking a dangerous escalation in covert and overt normalisation.
“The Riyadh regime, with the support, supervision, and partnership of the United States, Britain, and Israel, launched a full-fledged and unjustified military aggression against Yemen,” Sayyed al-Houthi declared. He emphasised that the normalisation of ties between Riyadh and Tel Aviv has now evolved into direct operational complicity against the Yemeni people.
He strongly condemned the Saudi-led campaign, noting its deliberate targeting of critical civilian infrastructure and necessities of life. “Its atrocious campaign is marked by various war crimes and crimes against humanity,” he stated, highlighting the deliberate destruction of over 2,000 mosques.
The Ansarullah leader also pointed to Washington’s complicity, accusing the United States of providing a political shield for these atrocities. He noted that the U.S. has concluded multi-billion-dollar arms deals with the Saudi regime, effectively financing and arming the massacre of Yemenis. “Due to the absence of ethics in the policies of most world states, Saudi Arabia has escaped justice for its crimes in Yemen,” he lamented.
Restoring Dignity and Sovereignty
Beyond exposing enemy collusion, the speech served as a powerful reflection on the September 21 Revolution of 2014, which Sayyed al-Houthi described as the pivotal moment that rescued Yemen from foreign subjugation.
“The September 21 Revolution achieved for our free people freedom and independence based on their faith-based identity and liberation from US arrogance,” he affirmed.
Prior to the uprising, Sayyed al-Houthi explained, Yemen’s political decisions were entirely subject to external influence. Authorities in Sana’a had been reduced to a mere formal structure tasked with implementing foreign directives. Foreign involvement had deeply penetrated Yemen’s military and security institutions, with systematic efforts made by imperialist powers to permanently weaken the nation’s armed forces—particularly the air force, air defence systems, and naval capabilities.
In stark contrast, the September 21 uprising was a purely popular, grassroots movement. “The popular revolution restored the people’s dignity and preserved their faith-based pride. It was not a revolution pushed by any external side in this world,” the Ansarullah leader stressed, noting that the revolution was built on principles of peace and national partnership.
Unwavering Defiance and Support for Palestine
Despite the end of direct foreign guardianship, Sayyed al-Houthi warned that imperialist forces have not abandoned their ambitions. He noted continued attempts by the United States to reassert control over Yemen and establish permanent military bases on its soil, using economic blockades and military pressure to force the free Yemeni people into submission.
However, the Ansarullah chief made it unequivocally clear that Sana’a remains steadfast. He reiterated Yemen’s unbreakable commitment to confronting foreign intervention and continuing its unwavering, active support for the Palestinian cause and the broader Axis of Resistance.
As Yemen enters the 13th year of its revolutionary path, the message from Sana’a is clear: the nation’s sovereignty is non-negotiable, and the exposure of Saudi-Israeli military collusion only further solidifies the Yemeni people’s resolve to resist imperialism and Zionism in all its forms.
