American Experts Puzzled by Yemeni Military Capabilities
American aggression on Yemen has altered the balance of power. Many American voices now admit that the U.S. would face greater losses on the Yemeni front than if they were fighting Russia or China
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Yemeni Armed Forces are intensifying their military operations, conducting strikes at sea targeting U.S. warships, launching missiles and drones deep into the Zionist entity, and downing several American aircraft over Yemeni airspace.
International Attention on Yemeni Operations
These operations have become a topic of analysis across Israeli and American media. Lebanese strategic affairs researcher Ali Hamieh commented on these developments, stating that the recent activities reflect Washington’s paralysis in response to Yemen’s military capabilities.
In an interview with Al-Masirah TV, Hamieh outlined four key topics currently under scrutiny by US and Israeli media:
The internal American situation
The internal Zionist situation
The aggression against Yemen
Negotiations with Iran
U.S. Military Confusion and Yemeni Air Defense Systems
Hamieh noted that American experts are increasingly puzzled by Yemeni military capabilities. According to him, an American analyst admitted that the U.S. no longer trusts its F-18 or F-35 aircraft and is now deploying B-2 stealth bombers for strikes on Yemen.
The U.S. had initially expected Yemen to use fixed air defense systems, but recent developments have confirmed that Yemen employs mobile air defense systems, which significantly disrupt U.S. efforts to detect and track Yemeni missiles.
U.S. Aircraft Carrier Shifts and Strategic Impact on the Region
Hamieh further explained that the U.S. aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman is currently undergoing maintenance, with the arrival of the Vinson carrier merely to accommodate some aircraft. He suggested that if Truman were fully operational, there would have been no need for another carrier to be deployed to the Arabian Sea.
Shifting Balance of Power and U.S. Losses in Yemen
According to Hamieh, the American aggression on Yemen has altered the balance of power in the region, leaving the U.S. with limited options. He emphasized that many American voices now admit that the U.S. would face greater losses on the Yemeni front than if they were fighting Russia or China.
He predicted that the U.S. would soon seek negotiations with Yemen, acknowledging that the war has become too costly to sustain.
Ongoing Strikes and Yemen's Strategic Blockade on Maritime Routes
Despite continued aggression, Yemeni Air Defenses have successfully downed their 22nd MQ-9 Reaper drone off the coast of Hajjah Province. The Yemeni Armed Forces maintain that their military position is stronger than it was weeks ago, having adapted to new developments and thwarted multiple enemy attacks.
As the war against Gaza intensifies, Yemen has implemented a strategic blockade of key maritime routes, aiming to disrupt the flow of military supplies to its adversaries and put pressure on the international community to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have made it clear that they will not stop their operations until Israel’s offensive in Gaza ends, reiterating their commitment to resisting U.S. and Israeli aggression. (PW)
