Al-Qassam Urges ICRC to Provide Equipment for Retrieval of Israeli Captive Bodies
Resistance Wing Says It Is Prepared to Extract All Bodies Inside “Yellow Line” Under Ceasefire Deal
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has called on mediators and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to urgently provide the necessary equipment and specialist teams to retrieve the bodies of all Israeli captives at the same time.
Al-Qassam confirmed its full readiness to recover the bodies located inside the “yellow line” simultaneously and in all areas, as part of efforts to conclude this file within the ongoing ceasefire framework.
Israel Rejected Body Samples
The Brigades stated that to avoid delaying the handover process, they offered Israeli authorities three body samples belonging to unidentified remains on Friday.
However, according to Al-Qassam, the Israeli side refused to receive the samples and insisted on receiving entire bodies for examination.
As a result, the resistance handed over the bodies “to prevent the enemy from using false claims,” the statement said.
Earlier today, the Israeli army announced that the three bodies it received overnight via the Red Cross were not those of Israeli captives.
Israeli media reported that forensic examinations confirmed the remains did not belong to any of the 11 captives expected to be returned under the US-brokered ceasefire and exchange agreement.
Responsibility on Mediators and ICRC
Al-Qassam emphasized that mediators and the ICRC must now provide logistical support and equipment necessary for simultaneous body recovery operations, asserting its readiness to complete the process in one coordinated effort. (PW)
