Al-Masirah: A High-Level British Delegation in Aden to Destabilize the Red Sea
London intensifies military involvement as part of efforts to confront the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - A high-level British delegation has concluded its visit to the occupied city of Aden. The delegation included the UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer, and the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, marking the first visit by a British minister to the city in nearly seven years.
The primary focus of the visiting delegation centered on rehabilitating the so-called “Coast Guard Forces” affiliated with the treasonous government loyal to the Emirati–Saudi occupation.
This came as part of a British attempt to restructure and train these forces to confront what they describe as threats to international navigation in the Red Sea.
In reality, this means confronting the Yemeni Armed Forces, which over the past two years have displayed exceptional heroism in supporting the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
London’s False Maritime Narrative and Its Failed Aggression on Yemen
Minister Falconer claimed that his visit falls within the framework of what he called enhancing maritime security, asserting that “British support has contributed to countering arms smuggling and protecting navigation routes,” according to his statement.
Britain previously led a military aggression against Yemen in partnership with the United States during the Biden administration in 2023.
The aim was to lift the blockade imposed on the port of Umm al-Rashrash in southern occupied Palestine. However, the campaign failed, and several British vessels sank as a result of blessed Yemeni military operations.
In recent months, Britain has intensified its support for the treasonous government. During the so-called “Yemeni Maritime Security” conference held in Saudi Arabia last September, London pledged 4 million USD to support these Coast Guard forces loyal to the mercenaries.
During this visit, British Ambassador Abda Sharif announced an additional 149 million pounds sterling.
British Moves Serve Israeli Interests and Reveal London’s Strategic Defeat
This British support and activity reveal the extent to which the mercenary government aligns itself with the Israeli enemy in militarizing the Red Sea under flimsy pretexts, including securing international navigation.
This is despite the fact that the Yemeni Armed Forces and the government in Sana’a repeatedly affirm that Red Sea navigation is not at risk, and that targeting is strictly limited to Zionist-linked vessels in response to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The growing British activity in Aden raises serious questions about the role London seeks to play in the upcoming phase.
This comes especially after the series of military setbacks suffered by Washington, London, and the Israeli enemy in facing the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea over the past two years.
It is evident from the visit that it was not diplomatic in nature.
Rather, it was part of a broader plan to reposition and restructure the Coast Guard forces loyal to the traitors, turning them into tools to confront the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea theater in the next stage. (PW)
