Al-Mashat Warns Against Exploiting Gaza War, Yemen Reaffirms Vigilance Over Gaza Developments
The Yemeni leader vows full readiness amid Gaza ceasefire developments, calls for unified Arab stance against Israeli arrogance
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Mahdi al-Mashat, President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, affirmed Yemen’s continued vigilance and readiness as it closely monitors the implementation of the agreement to halt aggression on Gaza and facilitate humanitarian aid.
In a speech marking the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, Al-Mashat stated that Yemeni forces are fully prepared to respond to any developments related to the Gaza agreement.
“The sacrifices made by our Yemeni people are seen by God, and they will only strengthen our resolve and steadfastness in upholding our just stance, no matter the cost,” he asserted.
Military Development to Counter Modern Threats
Al-Mashat revealed that Yemen is actively working to upgrade its military capabilities across all domains to confront modern military technologies wielded by its adversaries.
He emphasized that this military development is part of a broader strategy of preparedness and deterrence in the face of ongoing regional aggression targeting Yemen and the wider Arab nation.
Al-Mashat to Saudi Arabia: Move Beyond De-escalation
Calling directly on Saudi Arabia, Al-Mashat urged a shift from mere de-escalation to a complete end of aggression, siege, and occupation—alongside the implementation of clear peace obligations.
He warned that the failure to do so risks enabling external forces, particularly the United States, to exploit regional tensions in service of Israeli interests.
“Ending the aggression and siege is the only path to blocking those who profit from wars among the peoples of our nation for Israel’s sake,” he said, adding, “America is exploiting every regional sensitivity for the benefit of the Israeli enemy, if you understand.”
Solidarity with Peoples Under Zionist Aggression
Reaffirming Yemen’s principled stance, Al-Mashat declared full solidarity with the peoples of Lebanon, Syria, and all nations under brutal Zionist assault.
He called for a strong Arab and Islamic position to confront Israeli arrogance and violations across the region.
Al-Mashat praised the sacrifices of all free and honorable forces standing with Palestine—particularly Hezbollah, the Iraqi resistance, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also commended nations and free peoples who have severed ties with the Zionist entity or imposed punitive measures in response to genocide and starvation.
A Call for Unified Resistance and Justice
Al-Mashat’s message underscored that Yemen views the Palestinian cause not as a political stance, but as a moral duty rooted in justice, sacrifice, and unbroken resistance.
As Gaza continues to navigate its fragile ceasefire, Yemen signals that its vigilance—and readiness to act—remains firmly aligned with the struggle for regional dignity and liberation. (PW)
