Al-Hayya Condemns Inaction on Gaza, Negotiations Under Genocide Are Meaningless
Senior Hamas Leader Declares Ongoing Talks Pointless Without Immediate Lifting of Siege and Entry of Dignified Humanitarian Aid
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Khalil al-Hayya, Head of Hamas in Gaza, delivered a powerful address on Sunday, praising the resilience of Gaza’s people in the face of relentless suffering and genocide.
He emphasized that the people of Gaza have endured what “an entire nation could not bear,” stating that words fail to express their strength and sacrifice.
“You were noble when everything else lost value,” he said, addressing the people of Gaza. “Your cries, your pain, and your endurance are a responsibility upon our shoulders, and we will not abandon you.”
“Negotiations Under Genocide Are Meaningless”
Al-Hayya condemned ongoing negotiations with Israel as hollow under the current conditions of mass killing, starvation, and blockade.
“There is no meaning to the continuation of negotiations while our children and families are being exterminated and starved,” he said. “Real progress can only be measured by the immediate, dignified entry of humanitarian aid and food for our people.”
He stressed that the blood of Gaza’s children must not be used as a bargaining chip in Israeli political maneuvers.
Resistance Achievements and Foiled Israeli Campaigns
The Hamas leader hailed the achievements of the Palestinian resistance factions, especially the al-Qassam Brigades and the al-Quds Brigades, stating they have carried out heroic operations that stunned the world and brought retribution to the Israeli military.
He noted the failure of Israel’s “Gideon Vehicles” campaign due to Operation “David’s Stones,” adding that the Israeli army chief now pleads with political leaders to withdraw forces from Gaza, covering up the military’s defeat with genocidal policies.
Hamas’ Flexibility in Negotiations Rejected by Israel
Al-Hayya reiterated that the resistance has spared no effort over the past 22 months to stop the aggression, engaging in difficult negotiations and responding positively to mediators while upholding national principles.
He revealed that recent talks had seen significant progress, particularly on issues of withdrawal, prisoners, and aid entry — until Israel unexpectedly withdrew and was backed by the U.S. envoy to the Middle East.
US-Israeli Delay Tactics Exposed
The Hamas official condemned what he called a blatant U.S.-Israeli attempt to stall for time, prolonging Gaza’s suffering and genocide while undermining agreed terms, particularly regarding aid distribution — shifting authority away from UN and local institutions.
He warned of Israeli plans to create a wide buffer zone in Rafah to facilitate mass displacement through Egypt or the sea, calling it a clear attempt to erase the Palestinian cause.
Mockery of Airdrops and Call for Real Aid Access
Al-Hayya criticized the so-called humanitarian airdrops, describing them as theatrical distractions from the ongoing crime. “Five airdrop operations don’t even equal one small truck,” he remarked, calling for real solutions like the opening of crossings and dignified aid entry — guaranteed by international law, even in wartime.
Message to the Arab and Islamic Nation
In a heartfelt appeal, al-Hayya addressed the broader Muslim and Arab world, decrying the state of abandonment felt in Gaza.
“Our people face unimaginable horrors and massacres while the great nations of our Ummah, rich in resources and capability, remain silent and inactive.”
He asked, “Has the time not come for the Ummah to act practically to break the siege on Gaza and deliver food, water, and medicine to your own people and brothers?”
He called on the Arab and Islamic nations to sever all political, diplomatic, and economic ties with the Zionist regime and express their outrage in all forms.
Call to Action: Mobilize for Palestine
Al-Hayya urged populations in neighboring countries to march toward Palestine by land and sea, to besiege Zionist embassies, and to escalate economic and tourism boycotts.
“Palestine is calling. Gaza and its people await your Arab honor and Islamic nobility — they seek your actions, not your words. Silence today is not weakness; it is a crime.”
He also appealed to the scholars and free people of the Ummah: “Have you not heard the cries of Gaza’s women? This criminal enemy persists in killing and humiliation. The trust placed upon the scholars of this Ummah is immense. Lead your people in confronting this monster.”
Special Appeals to Jordan and Egypt
To Jordan, al-Hayya said: “The people of Gaza look to you with hope. Your martyrs fell on the borders of Palestine. Continue your popular uprising and efforts to stop this massacre.”
To Egypt, he expressed deep concern: “Does your conscience allow the people of Gaza to die of hunger at your borders, within reach of your aid? Rafah has been turned from a lifeline into a gateway of death by the occupation. We count on you, Egypt, to declare that Gaza will not starve.”
Appreciation for Yemeni and Global Solidarity
Al-Hayya welcomed the popular and military support from Yemen and praised international solidarity initiatives — including land and sea convoys like the Madeleine and Handala ships, and the “First Resilience Convoy” from Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya.
“All those who stood with Gaza chose to reject Israeli crimes and defy paralysis,” he said. “They came to say: we are with you, Gaza — and with willpower, nothing is impossible.” (PW)
