Al-Bukhaiti Responds to Netanyahu’s Threats: Yemen Prefers Direct Confrontation With Israel
The movement vows practical measures to turn any hostile act into heavy political, economic and strategic costs.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of Yemen’s Ansarallah political bureau, issued a blunt response to recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — who labelled the movement “one of the greatest threats to Israel” and pledged to act against it.
Al-Bukhaiti said any Israeli aggression against Yemen “will be met with an immediate and crushing response,” and added that Ansarallah prefers direct confrontation with Israel.
Al-Bukhaiti framed direct confrontation with Israel as a strategic preference. He argued that a direct clash “costs less than internal wars” and can consolidate the unity of the Islamic ummah.
He warned that Israeli aggression against Yemen would not go unanswered and pledged a forceful and immediate reply.
Practical Responses, Not Mere Rhetoric
The official stressed that Ansarallah’s readiness is not limited to rhetoric. He promised practical options designed to convert any hostile step into “heavy political, economic and strategic costs” for Israel. According to his statement, responses will be concrete and intended to impose significant burdens on the Israeli leadership.
The remarks echo prior comments from other senior movement figures who described Israeli threats as a pretext to justify aggressive policies. Ansar Allah officials have repeatedly warned that those who rely on intimidation will face reciprocal measures that are costly for their adversaries.
Posture of Deterrence and Readiness
The declaration signals a posture of deterrence and readiness by Ansarallah. By preferring a direct confrontation and promising tangible countermeasures, the movement aims to deter further escalation while asserting that it will impose a high price on any aggression.
Such a stance contributes to regional tensions and underscores the risk of broader escalation if clashes occur. (PW)
