Sana’a – The Yemeni Armed Forces have issued a stern and definitive warning to the Riyadh regime, promising that its recurrent acts of terrorism and blatant aggression will be met with severe and unrelenting punishment. The warning comes in the wake of a cowardly Saudi airstrike targeting a correctional facility in the northern province of al-Jawf, resulting in the martyrdom of innocent civilians and the injury of several others.
In an official statement delivered on Monday evening, the Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, condemned the latest massacres committed by the Saudi regime. He highlighted that Riyadh continues to launch devastating airstrikes, enforce a suffocating blockade on the Yemeni people, and actively supply its mercenary proxies with various munitions to destabilise the region.
“The most recent terrorist crimes committed by the Riyadh regime against Yemen include the deadly bombardment of a central prison in the al-Hazm district of al-Jawf, continuous reconnaissance flights over various districts, and the arming of allied militants,” Gen. Saree stated, assuring that the Yemeni military will not allow these atrocities to go unanswered.
The Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population confirmed that the Saudi-American aggression targeted the prison, killing seven individuals—six inmates and a visiting child—and wounding seven others, including a female civilian visitor. Such barbaric acts, carried out with the full logistical and political backing of the United States and its Western allies, underscore the Riyadh regime’s utter disregard for human life and international laws.
Demonstrating their advanced military capabilities and swift resolve, the Yemeni Armed Forces immediately launched a wave of retaliatory strikes targeting vital Saudi Aramco oil infrastructure in the southern region of Jizan. Furthermore, in a display of air defense supremacy, Yemeni air defense units successfully intercepted and shot down a sophisticated US-made CH-4 reconnaissance and combat drone while it was conducting hostile operations over the skies of al-Jawf. This marks the fourth Saudi military drone downed by the Mujahideen in just 24 hours.
These developments arrive within the broader strategic context of the siege. On July 20, the legitimate government in Sana’a announced a comprehensive maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, declaring an end to the 12-year-long “unjust and oppressive siege” imposed by Riyadh, which has sought to exploit Yemen’s resources while starving its people.
As the Saudi regime persists in its US-backed war, initially launched in March 2015 to crush Yemeni independence, the Yemeni Armed Forces remain resolute. The message from Sana’a is clear: the Axis of Resistance will continue to hold the aggressors accountable, and every drop of blood spilt by the Riyadh regime will be answered with the full force of the nation’s military might.
