Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Unveils Details of Decisive US-Israel Defeat
Senior Iranian officials reveal failed assassination plots, precision missile strikes, and the strategic miscalculations of Tehran’s adversaries during the 12-day war.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Ali Larijani, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, disclosed that both the Israeli regime and the United States had plotted to overthrow the Iranian government in under a week.
“They believed they could end the Islamic Republic in five or six days,” he said. “Netanyahu’s main goal was the surrender of the Iranian people.”
The plan, according to Larijani, went beyond leadership decapitation strategies.
“After planning to target the heads of the three branches of power, Israel intended to move on to assassinate the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei.”
He denounced the plot as rooted in ignorance of Iran’s national identity.
“The Zionist enemy and the United States failed to grasp the culture and historical depth of the Iranian people.”
“They Gave Me 12 Hours to Flee”
Larijani shared that during the height of the war, he was personally threatened.
“I received a call warning me that I had 12 hours to leave the country or I’d be killed.”
He pointed to Saturday, June 21, as a turning point in the conflict.
“They realized Israel had reached a dead end,” he said, adding that by Monday, June 23, Tel Aviv was seeking a ceasefire.
“They thought we would beg,” he added, “but by the end of the war, they were the ones begging.”
Citing a Guardian analysis, Larijani remarked:
“The Islamic Republic turned out to be far stronger than the US and Israel had assumed.”
Psychological War and Missile Deterrence
Larijani declared the war a defeat for Iran’s adversaries.
“The enemy was defeated in this battle,” he said, pointing to failed efforts at psychological warfare and inciting internal chaos.
He emphasized the decisive role of Iran’s missile capabilities in forcing Israel into strategic retreat.
IAEA Chief and the Question of the NPT
Larijani accused IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi of playing a complicit role in the war.
“Grossi was one of the facilitators of the 12-day war. He failed to do his duty.”
He questioned Iran’s continued adherence to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty:
“Why should we remain committed to the NPT? Nuclear knowledge will never leave Iran.”
He stressed that the nuclear issue was a pretext.
“It was never about the nuclear issue. It was about weakening the state.”
A Call to Reassess Diplomacy
“It’s time to reconsider two key issues: negotiations and cooperation with the IAEA,” Larijani said.
He criticized the silence of three European powers during the war, contrasting their stance with that of China and Russia:
“China and Russia realized the limits of American power during this war.”
“All nations rejoiced in our triumph—even though we lost 18 senior commanders.”
Iran Struck U.S. Base in Qatar
Larijani confirmed a major escalation:
“Six missiles with 400-kilogram warheads struck the [U.S.] base with precision.”
He accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of concealing the scale of losses:
“Trump falsely claimed only one missile hit the target.”
On Day 10 of the war, the U.S. launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
“The Secretary of Defense rushed to claim Iran’s nuclear infrastructure had been destroyed, attempting to deceive public opinion.”
Shamkhani: Assassination Plot Failed
Ali Shamkhani, also an advisor to the Leader of the Revolution, confirmed an Israeli assassination attempt against him had failed.
“I taught them a harsh lesson,” he said.
He stated that from the outset, Iran recognized U.S. negotiations as a cover for destabilization efforts.
Shamkhani highlighted Iran’s high-level preparedness:
“Leaders were replaced within just 12 hours,” he noted, emphasizing the seamless continuation of state functions.
“This reflects the country's robust military and security posture against any form of escalation or infiltration.” (ARN)
