“A Plot That Never Was”: Turkey Exposes Israeli Fabrication of ‘Iranian Assassination Plot’ Against Trump

A supposed Iranian plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump at a NATO summit in Ankara was nothing more than a fabrication by Israeli intelligence, designed to sabotage diplomatic efforts to end the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, a new report has revealed.
According to a Wednesday report by Middle East Eye (MEE) citing Turkish officials, the Zionist regime handed the fabricated intelligence to US officials in Turkey on July 8, seeking to convince the US Secret Service that Tehran was planning to kill Trump during the summit.
“Of course, we took the report very seriously and tried to assist our American counterparts as much as possible… Yet it was very clear to us that there was no way this report was true,” one Turkish source told MEE.
Sabotaging Diplomacy
The fabrication, sources say, was part of a desperate attempt by Benjamin Netanyahu and his team to portray themselves as protectors of Trump while undermining the US president’s efforts to reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic waterway has been under strict Iranian control since the US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic began in early March.
With the Zionist regime’s war aims collapsing, Netanyahu has repeatedly sought to torpedo any diplomatic off-ramp that might end the conflict on Tehran’s terms—even if it means inventing threats against the American president himself.
“Heroes for an Attack That Never Happened”
Turkish insiders also pointed to the odd and ironic timing of a Washington Post report earlier this month, which exposed a US Secret Service operation using a catering container to shield Trump from the supposed assassination attempt.
“The Israelis probably need heroes for an attack that never happened and, most likely, was never planned,” the source said.
The revelation adds to a growing body of evidence that the Zionist regime will stop at nothing to drag Washington deeper into its wars—recycling the same fabricated pretexts and false-flag theatrics it has used for decades, this time aimed at the White House itself.
