1,000th Day of the Genocidal War: Palestinian Resistance Factions Call for Unity
The statement rejected any form of external guardianship over the Gaza Strip, stressing that the administration of Gaza is an internal Palestinian matter
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Marking the 1,000th day of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Resistance factions called for greater unity among Palestinians and an escalation of resistance against the Israeli occupation.
In a joint statement, the factions described the ongoing assault as a “continuing war” that has caused widespread destruction and a severe humanitarian catastrophe across Gaza.
They said the occupation has employed overwhelming military force throughout the war but has failed to achieve its declared objectives, including attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian population or impose new realities on the ground.
Resistance Is a Continuation of the Palestinian Struggle
The factions stressed that the confrontation with Israel has continued since 1948, describing the current military operations as a response to Israeli policies in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Jerusalem, including settlement expansion and the blockade.
They reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to resist, calling for intensified resistance in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948 to confront what they described as annexation plans and expanding settlement projects.
Rejecting External Guardianship Over Gaza
The statement rejected any form of external guardianship over the Gaza Strip, stressing that the administration of Gaza is an internal Palestinian matter.
The factions called for the urgent formation of a technocratic committee to manage the Strip’s affairs, alongside the launch of a comprehensive national dialogue aimed at unifying the Palestinian ranks and rebuilding national institutions.
Call to Arab and Muslim Countries
The Resistance factions also urged Arab and Muslim countries to take stronger action to stop the war, mobilize both official and popular support for the Palestinian cause, and reject all forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation.
The statement concluded by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and the occupied Palestinian territories, affirming that their sacrifices will remain a source of inspiration for future generations. (PW)
