Today, however, a new generation of commanders, strategists, and security apparatus leaders has taken the helm. This generation is inherently extroverted on the global stage. They do not merely defend borders; they project power, shape geopolitics, and actively manage the forward defence lines of the Resistance across West Asia. The American political establishment consistently fails to grasp the ideological depth and strategic agility of these modern guardians of the Wilayah.

The Ultimate Strategic Nightmare

Perhaps the most profound revelation in recent Western strategic analysis harkens back to a decades-old warning by Zbigniew Brzezinski, former U.S. National Security Advisor. Brzezinski warned that America’s greatest strategic blunder would be creating conditions that link “Shiite religious fervour with Iranian nationalism.”

Today, that exact fusion has solidified into an unstoppable force. When the divine ideology of Wilayah merges with a deep, patriotic resolve to defend the homeland, it creates a mobilising power that transcends standard geopolitical models. It is not merely a state defending its interests; it is a deeply rooted civilisational movement.

Conclusion: A New Era of Confrontation

The era of Western hegemony dictating the fate of West Asia through shock-and-awe and assassinations is over. The Mosaic Defence has proven its mettle, and the fusion of faith and national resolve has built an impenetrable psychological and physical fortress.

As the global order continues to fracture and realign, the United States and its allies are entering a vastly more dangerous paradigm. They are no longer fighting a conventional state; they are confronting a mature, decentralised, and ideologically unbreakable vanguard. And their old playbooks are entirely obsolete.

This week, two critical developments have laid bare the stark contradiction between diplomatic agreements and the lived reality in Gaza. While Palestinian resistance factions have formally approved the second phase of the ceasefire roadmap, a damning new assessment from the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) reveals that Israel’s ongoing blockade and military restrictions are actively strangling Gaza’s ability to feed itself.

The Diplomatic Push for Phase Two

Following talks with mediators in Egypt, Hamas announced on Sunday its formal approval of the second phase of the US-brokered ceasefire plan. The movement emphasised that its agreement is rooted in the interests of the Palestinian people, with clear objectives: a permanent ceasefire, complete Israeli military withdrawal, the launch of reconstruction efforts, and the establishment of an administrative committee.

Crucially, Hamas noted that it has fully honoured its obligations under the first phase of the agreement, which included prisoner exchanges. However, the statement accused Israel of explicitly rejecting the phase two roadmap, escalating military actions, and deepening the humanitarian catastrophe.

The resistance movement has now called on international mediators to compel Israel to halt its violations and set a binding timetable for implementation. But what exactly is at stake if this implementation is further delayed? The answer lies in the soil.

The 3% Reality: Gaza’s Agricultural Collapse

On Monday, the FAO and the UN Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) released an assessment that reads like an obituary for Gaza’s agricultural sector. As of June 2026, only 3% of Gaza’s farmland (448 hectares) remains accessible and undamaged.

The report details a systematic suffocation of Palestinian farmers. Since October 2025, accessible cropland has plummeted by 25.5%, with the most severe reductions in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis. In Rafah, a staggering 97.2% of cropland and 98.4% of greenhouse areas are entirely inaccessible to farmers, largely due to the westward expansion of the Israeli military’s so-called “Yellow Line.”

Even for the few farmers who can reach their land, the basics of cultivation are gone. There are severe shortages of seeds, fertiliser, irrigation equipment, and fuel. Livestock owners cannot obtain feed or veterinary supplies, and what little is available is prohibitively expensive.

“Without urgent action to restore safe access and provide farmers with the support they need, opportunities to restore local food production will continue to diminish,” warned Rein Paulsen, director of FAO’s Office of Emergencies and Resilience.

The Broken Promise of Aid

The FAO’s findings are not an isolated natural disaster; they are the direct result of broken ceasefire terms.

The current ceasefire agreement stipulates the entry of 600 aid trucks per day into Gaza. Yet, as Palestinian rights group Al Mezan recently reported, only a fraction of that number is being allowed through. Worse, many of the trucks that do enter are carrying commercial goods rather than vital humanitarian supplies, while Israeli inspection procedures continue to arbitrarily delay or block relief shipments.

This is the core tension linking this week’s two reports. Hamas’s demand for “urgent and sustained humanitarian aid” in phase two of the ceasefire is not a political talking point—it is a literal lifeline. Every day that the 600-truck provision is ignored, another hectare of greenhouse is abandoned, another livestock herd perishes, and another family is pushed closer to the brink of famine.

3. Dissolution of the Peshmerga: The formal dissolution of the Peshmerga forces to ensure a unified, centralised state military apparatus free from regional fragmentation and foreign-backed division.

Defending the Resistance Project

The statement also addressed the mounting political pressure surrounding the disarmament issue. With a September 30 deadline approaching, Abu Mujahid al-Assaf criticised the government’s handling of the matter, noting that resistance groups have waited over a hundred days for a genuine resolution. He asserted that the government has disregarded the counsel of allied domestic factions, appearing to prioritise demands from foreign entities over the interests of the Iraqi people.

A Unified Vision for Iraqi Sovereignty

This declaration comes amid renewed calls from Iraq’s top state authorities to strengthen the national armed forces and bring all weaponry under the jurisdiction of recognised state institutions.

While some resistance factions have previously agreed to integrate into the state’s security framework, Kata’ib Hezbollah has made it clear that its “resistance weapons” will remain safeguarded and further developed until the conditions of full national independence are met.

For Kata’ib Hezbollah, the weapon of resistance is not merely an instrument of defence, but a sacred trust to protect Iraq from external domination. Until the state can genuinely guarantee an independent, sovereign, and unified Iraq, the resistance will remain the steadfast guardian of the nation’s dignity and self-determination.

In the wake of recent unprovoked US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a resolute message of defiance and justice. He firmly pledged that the Islamic Republic will devote all its capabilities to securing the rights of the Iranian people, punishing the aggressors, and upholding the nation’s honour.

“We will never compromise over the blood of the martyred Iranian leader and the country’s martyrs,” Ghalibaf stated, emphasising that the enemy’s miscalculations were thoroughly thwarted by the unparalleled unity of the Iranian people and the armed forces.

A Strategic Chokehold on Aggression

Central to Iran’s defensive posture is the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Ghalibaf made it unequivocally clear that the vital waterway will not be reopened until the United States lifts its illegal naval blockade, unfreezes Iranian assets, and removes unlawful oil sanctions. Furthermore, any normalisation is contingent upon the complete cessation of military threats and the full implementation of the conditions outlined in the recent memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington.

Ghalibaf described this agreement as a “document of the United States’ defeat in the legal and political spheres,” noting that Washington was forced to accept a ceasefire and negotiate on Iran’s terms only after facing decisive and successful retaliation from the Islamic Republic.

Manama — In a powerful address to the faithful, prominent Bahraini religious scholar Sheikh Adel al-Shualla delivered a blistering critique of the illegitimate Al Khalifa regime, condemning its authoritarian grip on power, its squandering of public wealth, and its treacherous alignment with the United States and the Zionist entity.

Connecting the ongoing struggle in Bahrain to the universal, revolutionary message of Imam Husayn (AS), Sheikh al-Shualla highlighted the spiritual and political significance of the Arbaeen pilgrimage. He described Arbaeen as a vital platform for “conscious anticipation” (Intizar) of Imam al-Mahdi (AJ), stressing that true faith and anticipation do not breed passivity. Instead, they demand active effort, organisation, and the capacity to confront injustice.

He praised the resilient Bahraini pilgrims who endured regime pressure and restrictions to participate in the march, noting that they carried the names and memories of the oppressed Bahraini scholars unjustly detained by the Al Khalifa security apparatus. For the Sheikh, their participation was a profound demonstration of religious commitment and an act of defiance against state repression.

Islamic Unity and the Inevitability of Victory

Addressing the broader national fabric, the cleric sent a clear message of Islamic unity to Bahrain’s Sunni population, affirming that the Shia community and its demands are rooted entirely in the defense of Islam and Muslims, and should never be viewed as a threat to their Sunni brothers.

He concluded with a stern warning to the ruling elite in Manama: the enduring patience of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) must never be mistaken for fear, weakness, or indifference. The steadfastness of the Bahraini people is a divine strategy, and their unwavering commitment to the path of Wilayah and resistance will ultimately outlast the fragile, corrupt foundations of tyranny.

Baalbek, 17 March 1974

On the day of Arbaeen — the day the traditional mourning for the grandson of the Prophet (S), Imam Husayn (A), draws to its close — thousands of Shiites converged on the ancient city of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley. But the crowds had not gathered merely to complete a ritual of grief. They had come for one man: a tall, charismatic Iranian‑born cleric with a gentle smile and kind eyes — Sayyed Musa Sadr.

A month earlier, Sadr had delivered one of the most incendiary speeches of his life:

“For too long, the Shiites of Lebanon have been humiliated and oppressed, called ‘mitwali.’ Now is the time for revolution and weapons. From today, we will no longer complain and cry. Our name is not ‘mitwali1.’ Our name is ‘people of rejection,’ ‘people of revenge,’ ‘people who rise up against tyranny’ — even if it costs us our blood and our lives.”

Baalbek, a city of 10,000 souls, possessed a single school, built under the French Mandate. The south was being crushed under Zionist aggression while its resources were plundered by Beirut. Across the north and the south, thousands of Shiites lacked even identity cards — no state services, no vote, no paper proof of their own existence.

Sadr fused the suffering of his people with the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A): “Does Imam Husayn accept this for his children?” And then, gesturing at the weapons in the hands of the crowd, he delivered the line that would echo for generations: “Weapons are the adornment of men.” Take what is yours from the state, he told them, or die trying.

It was the language of revolution. With it, Sadr awakened a sleeping giant — instilling in a community long dismissed as passive a sense of its own worth and an unquenchable thirst for justice.

The Partisans of Ali

The historic heartland of Lebanon’s Shiites is Jabal Amil. Some trace its founding to Abu Dharr al‑Ghifari, companion of the Prophet (S) and among the first to proclaim Ali (AS) as his successor — exiled from Medina to Damascus, and from Damascus to the far margins of Sham, the greater Syria that embraced the lands of Lebanon.

By the early 16th century the territory had passed under Ottoman rule. In its quiet mountain villages a Shiite school of scholarship flourished, earning Lebanon its place as a citadel of Shiite heritage. Yet the traditional narrative insists on Shiite passivity. The people of Jabal Amil were never timid subjects — for their school teaches one lesson above all: never bow to humiliation.

To guard their prosperity, the Shiites raised a formidable military force — by some estimates ten thousand cavalry. They garrisoned the old fortresses and sealed an alliance with the Palestinian leader Dahir al‑Umar, master of the cotton trade. Their horsemen distinguished themselves against the Ottomans at Hula (1771) and Gaziye (1772), and the French observer Baron de Tott recorded that the Shiite leader Nassif al‑Nassar, at the head of 3,000 cavalry, routed a Druze army of 40,000.

The Ottomans, pragmatic as ever, preferred to leave the unruly Shiites in peace so long as the taxes flowed. But in 1775 — Istanbul reeling from defeat at Russian hands and harassed by Persian incursions — the empire resolved to “restore order.” To Akka it dispatched a cruel Bosnian commander, Ahmad Pasha, surnamed “Jazzar” — the Butcher — who seized seven Shiite fortresses in Lebanon. The community lost its autonomy, and sank into a long eclipse of poverty and oblivion.

These, then, are the first prerequisites of the Lebanese Resistance: a people with a long memory, a theology that forbids submission, and a debt of blood centuries deep. When Sadr spoke at Baalbek, he was not inventing a rebellion. He was waking one.

In a resounding address marking the anniversary of the 2006 Divine Victory, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a stark reminder to the Zionist entity and its American patrons: the occupying regime is deaf to diplomacy, morality, and international law, and understands only one language—the language of force.

Speaking on Friday, the Hezbollah leader reflected on the historic 33-day war of 2006, when the Islamic Resistance shattered the myth of the Israeli military’s invincibility. He recalled that the operation to capture two Israeli soldiers was born out of absolute necessity, as all diplomatic channels and communications had completely failed to secure the release of Lebanese prisoners languishing in Zionist jails.

“This action was necessary to fulfil the promise that we would not abandon our prisoners in jails. Therefore, how could we change the equation without confronting and putting pressure on the Israeli enemy, who only understands the language of force?” Sheikh Qassem declared.

He exposed the deceit of the Zionist narrative, noting that while the regime used the capture operation as a pretext for a massive, disproportionate invasion, declassified history proved that the Israelis and Americans had already been conspiring and preparing for a major war on Lebanon slated for September 2006. Instead, the Resistance sprang the trap early, defeating the “arrogant” enemy, securing the release of the captives, and establishing a formidable era of deterrence that protected Lebanon from 2006 until 2023.

A Karbala-Style Confrontation

Addressing the latest wave of Zionist aggression, Sheikh Qassem framed the current battle not as a mere border skirmish, but as an “existential war of aggression” aimed at erasing Lebanon’s sovereignty and the very concept of Resistance.

He drew a profound parallel to the ultimate paradigm of defiance in Islamic history, describing the battlefields of southern Lebanon as a “Karbala-style confrontation.” For the mujahideen on the front lines, there were only two options, mirroring the legacy of Imam Husayn (AS): “Either we collapse and surrender, and the Israelis win, or we remain steadfast and defeat the Israeli project.”

“Whoever bets on our surrender is betting on a mirage and does not know the resistance well,” the Secretary General warned, dismissing the delusions of Tel Aviv and Washington.

Condemning Beirut’s Shameful Capitulation

While the Resistance continues to bleed and fight on the front lines, Sheikh Qassem directed blistering criticism at the Lebanese political authorities for their cowardly capitulation. He slammed the government for signing a humiliating “framework agreement” with the Zionist entity, yielding entirely to US and Israeli dictates and effectively surrendering Lebanese sovereignty.

He noted that it was the unwavering stance of the Resistance and the broader diplomatic frameworks of the Axis—not the weak-kneed concessions of the Beirut government—that allowed displaced Lebanese to return to their homes. He called on the state to “turn back from this grave sin—this shameful mistake—this humiliating error,” describing the government’s actions as nothing short of surrender.

The Blood of the Martyrs Will Not Be Wasted

As the Zionist entity, emboldened by unconditional US support, continues its campaign of genocide, home demolitions, and land occupation across the region, Sheikh Qassem drew a definitive red line.

“We do not accept surrender. We will remain steadfast and will not accept the violation of our country’s sovereignty or the blood of the martyrs being wasted,” he vowed.

The message from the leadership of the Resistance is unequivocal: the Zionist entity may attempt to impose its will through massacres and political coercion, but it will ultimately crash against the immovable wall of a people who have mastered the language of force.

Cancer deaths in Gaza have surged to two to three times the pre-war rate, as the Zionist entity leaves thousands of patients trapped without chemotherapy, specialised treatment, or any viable route out of the besieged Strip, Palestinian doctors told Reuters.

Doctors now record between three and five cancer deaths every day, compared with roughly one to two before the war. The figures expose yet another devastating dimension of the Israeli genocide: patients suffering from potentially treatable diseases are being left to deteriorate while the facilities that once cared for them lie in ruins, and access to hospitals abroad remains heavily restricted.

The Destruction of Gaza’s Only Cancer Hospital

At the center of the crisis is the destruction of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, Gaza’s only specialised cancer facility. The Israeli occupation demolished the hospital in a controlled explosion in March 2025, claiming—without credible evidence—that its forces had uncovered a tunnel used by Hamas beneath the site.

The demolition stripped an estimated 17,000 cancer patients of Gaza’s only dedicated center for chemotherapy and advanced treatment. Israeli attacks have also killed highly trained medical personnel, including specialists who worked at the hospital before its destruction.

“I Am Just Waiting to Die”

For Palestinians whose survival depends on treatment abroad, securing permission to leave Gaza has become a prolonged and potentially deadly ordeal. Around 20,000 patients are registered for treatment outside the Strip but have not yet been able to leave—about 5,000 of them cancer patients. Since the limited reopening of Rafah in February, fewer than half the number expected under the ceasefire arrangement have crossed.

Khuloud Abu Sahmoud, a 33-year-old mother of two with advanced ovarian cancer, has been waiting since last October to leave Gaza for treatment. While she waits, the cancer has spread to her lungs and bones.

“Every day my disease progresses, and my condition is tragic. My fingernails have all fallen out – I have none left. I am just waiting to die,” she said.

A Health System Reduced to Rubble

Most hospitals across the Strip have been destroyed or damaged, while those still operating have lost as much as 70% of essential medical supplies, including medicines, diagnostic equipment, and materials required for cancer care.

“We have been recording a significant number of deaths, ranging from three to five daily, because patients are not receiving the chemotherapy needed to save their lives,” said Mohamed Abu Selmia, director of Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital.

Surgeon Sobhi Skaik, former head of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, warned that the true scale of the crisis may be far greater. Gaza had around 11,000 registered cancer patients before the war, but Skaik estimates another 6,000 Palestinians may have developed cancer since. Without functioning screening programs or laboratories, many may not discover they are ill until their disease has reached an advanced stage—if they are diagnosed at all.

Skaik also warned that toxic substances released by the enormous volume of US-supplied Israeli explosives used across Gaza could be contributing to future cancer cases.

“Some people can be treated if diagnosed in early stages, but they are wandering around the tents sick, unaware, and with no help,” he said.

The systematic dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare is not a byproduct of war—it is a deliberate policy of extermination. As the world watches, the Zionist entity continues to turn treatable diseases into death sentences, proving that the blockade itself is a weapon of genocide.

The latest victim to emerge from this darkness is Ehab Mohammad Abdel Qader Diab, a 36-year-old son of Gaza, whose murder in Israeli custody exposes the absolute depravity of the occupation and the deafening silence of the so-called “international community.”

A Cover-Up Written in Blood

Ehab was abducted by Israeli occupation forces on December 12, 2023. For months, his family was subjected to the agonising torment of forced disappearance, a deliberate policy utilised by the apartheid state to break the spirits of Palestinian families. According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Ehab is believed to have been martyred on September 18, 2024. Yet, the Israeli prison administration only recently acknowledged his death.

When the regime finally broke its silence, it predictably attempted to sanitise its crime, claiming Ehab had been suffering from a “health condition.” His family vehemently rejected this lie, testifying that he was in perfect health with no known illnesses when he was dragged from his home. This blatant contradiction is a hallmark of the occupation’s modus operandi: medical neglect, deliberate starvation, and fatal torture are routinely masked as “natural causes” or “pre-existing conditions” to evade even the most basic scrutiny.

The Grim Mathematics of Apartheid
