According to recent reports, top advisors—including Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio—have quietly cautioned Donald Trump that his aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran may stretch far beyond his presidential term, extending well past the January 2029 inauguration.

For months, Trump has peddled the delusion of a “swift victory,” repeatedly boasting to reporters that the conflict will end “immediately” after the November midterm elections because Iran “can’t hold out any longer.” Yet, the reality on the ground paints a starkly different picture of American impotence. Unable to break the Iranian nation militarily or engineer a collapse from within, Washington’s war machine has bogged down in a protracted conflict of attrition.

The Semantics of Defeat

The desperation of the American political class is evident in their evasive rhetoric. JD Vance recently refused to label the ongoing hostilities a “war,” despite a suffocating US naval blockade and continuous military skirmishes. When pressed on an exit strategy, Vance admitted he had no idea when the hostilities would end, arrogantly refusing to grant the Iranian resistance an “artificial timeline.”

Meanwhile, the Pentagon is quietly preparing for a permanent quagmire. US War Secretary Pete Hegseth has already extended troop deployments in West Asia deep into 2027. Furthermore, the Pentagon plans to keep its air defence units and a contingent of roughly 50,000 occupation troops stationed across the Persian Gulf indefinitely.

From Military Failure to Economic Siege

Recognising its total failure to achieve a military breakthrough against the Axis of Resistance, the Trump administration has pivoted to a strategy of pure desperation: a suffocating long-term economic siege. Under the banner of “Operation Economic Outcast,” Washington has coupled its illegal naval blockade with sweeping sanctions in a bid to starve the Iranian state into submission.

But the steadfastness (Sumud) of the Iranian people and the strategic depth of the Islamic Republic cannot be broken by blockades. Washington’s hubris has blinded it to a fundamental reality of West Asian geopolitics: empires may launch wars of choice, but they do not get to dictate the terms of their own defeat. The Iranian nation remains unbroken, and the American empire is merely sinking deeper into a strategic sinkhole of its own making.

Reference: <a prisons has reached a critical new low, as violent crackdowns and deliberate medical neglect coincide with a severe outbreak of scabies at Damon Prison.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office, Israeli prison repression units—infamously known as “Metsada” and “Yamas”—launched brutal raids on September 6, 2026, targeting sections 2, 10, and 11 of the facility. The assault was characterised by extreme cruelty, with occupation forces forcibly dragging the women from their cells and subjecting them to degrading and inhumane treatment.

Reports detail that the female prisoners were forced to lie face-down on the scorching ground under the sun. In one harrowing instance of targeted abuse, occupation guards mercilessly beat a Palestinian woman on her back, fully aware that she was already suffering from severe, pre-existing fractures.

Compounding the physical violence is a catastrophic deterioration of health conditions within the prison walls. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office reported that a scabies outbreak is rapidly spreading among the female detainees. The Zionist authorities have intentionally deprived the prisoners of necessary medical treatments, leaving the women in agonising pain and forcing some to scratch their skin until it bleeds.

Furthermore, the occupation continues its systematic policy of psychological torture and isolation. The Algerian Foreign Ministry announced the rupture on Thursday, accusing Abu Dhabi of engaging in “provocative and hostile” actions and stating that Algiers had exhausted all efforts to preserve bilateral ties.

According to Algerian state television, the decision followed repeated warnings from Algiers regarding the UAE’s “regrettable and unjustified” conduct. Consequently, the UAE ambassador was summoned and given 48 hours to leave the country. In a further escalation, Algeria’s Ministry of Defence announced the immediate closure of its airspace to all Emirati military and civilian aircraft.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the move, expressing its hope that Algeria’s decision to sever diplomatic relations is temporary.

A Long-Brewing Rift

The diplomatic break is the culmination of a long-simmering dispute over regional influence and security. Tensions have been intensifying since 2020, when the UAE formally normalised relations with Israel under the US-brokered Abraham Accords—a move Algeria has consistently and vehemently rejected.

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has repeatedly voiced concern over the UAE’s regional policies, at times indirectly referring to Abu Dhabi as a “micro-state” that contributes to instability. In a televised interview in July, Tebboune delivered a blistering critique, stating, “Wherever they set foot, blood flows,” and adding that the UAE has had a “very negative impact” on the region.

Despite these harsh criticisms, Tebboune previously indicated that Algeria had deliberately refrained from severing ties to avoid “deepening divisions” within the Arab world. Thursday’s announcement signals that Algiers now considers those containment efforts to be exhausted.

Geopolitical Fault Lines

The rift extends beyond mere rhetoric, rooted in deeply divergent positions on critical regional issues. A major point of contention is the Western Sahara dispute; Algeria backs the Polisario Front’s demand for independence, while the UAE has openly supported Morocco’s claims to the disputed territory.

Furthermore, the two nations have pursued competing interests across the Sahel region. Algiers views Abu Dhabi’s regional political manoeuvring—including its reported dealings with organisations that Algeria designates as terrorist entities—as a direct challenge to its national security. The Algerian leadership also considers the expansion of Israel’s regional presence, facilitated by certain Arab states, to be a severe security threat.

Early Warning Signs

The trajectory toward a complete diplomatic rupture became increasingly visible earlier this year. In February 2026, Algeria initiated formal procedures to terminate a 2013 air services agreement with the UAE. While Emirates continued operating flights during the legally required notice period, the aviation dispute served as a strong precursor to the broader political fallout.

For Algiers, the severing of ties represents the latest and most definitive move to defend its strategic interests in North Africa and the Sahel. Meanwhile, the UAE continues to aggressively expand its political and economic partnerships across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, highlighting the divergent geopolitical paths the two Arab states have chosen to pursue.

Reference: <a architecture of the southern Red Sea, the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have launched a highly coordinated blitz along Yemen’s western coast. The rapid offensive has resulted in the collapse of Saudi-backed defences, the capture of the critical Bab al-Mandab strait’s surrounding islands, and devastating retaliatory strikes deep inside Saudi Arabia.

The strategic port city of Mokha—the last major Saudi-held coastal stronghold—has fallen to Ansarullah forces. The victory marks a turning point in the protracted conflict, granting Sanaa unprecedented leverage over one of the world’s most vital maritime chokepoints.

The Coastal Blitz and Island Captures

The western coast offensive was characterised by rapid amphibious and ground manoeuvres that bypassed and overwhelmed entrenched positions. Ansarullah forces have successfully captured Al-Zuqar Island and secured the Greater and Lesser Hanish Islands, effectively locking down the approaches to the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Crucially, YAF units have landed on Perim (Mayun) Island, a highly strategic volcanic island sitting squarely in the strait. Even Saudi-owned media outlet Al-Hadath confirmed the loss of Perim Island and the coastal town of Murad. Ground forces have since pushed into Dhubab, while Saudi-backed mercenaries were reportedly eliminated or captured in fierce clashes around the Omari Camp.

Mass Surrenders and Air Defence Triumphs

The speed of the Ansarullah advance precipitated a total breakdown in the Saudi-backed coalition’s command structure. According to Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Ansarullah political bureau, the offensive resulted in the unprecedented surrender of three full Saudi-backed brigades.

These units capitulated across multiple fronts—including Hays, Mokha, Al-Khokha, Taiz, and Al-Jawf—handing over vast caches of both light and heavy military equipment to advancing Yemeni forces.

In the skies, the YAF demonstrated increasingly sophisticated air defence capabilities. Locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles successfully intercepted a Saudi combat formation over Taiz, while air defences shot down a sophisticated Saudi Karayel armed reconnaissance drone over Hajjah. The losses prompted a fierce response from Riyadh, with Saudi warplanes conducting 64 airstrikes within a 24-hour window across Taiz, Hudaydah, Marib, and Al-Jawf.

Striking the Saudi Heartland

As Sanaa consolidated its grip on the coast, it simultaneously projected power across the border. Satellite imagery and regional reports confirmed that Aramco facilities in southern Saudi Arabia sustained significant damage.

Fires were detected at at least three oil-storage tanks at Aramco’s Jizan facilities. Iran’s Fars News reported even heavier damage, claiming at least four storage tanks were completely destroyed at the Jizan refinery. Additionally, Aramco’s Abha bulk plant reportedly sustained significant damage, signalling Sanaa’s intent to exert severe economic pressure in tandem with its territorial gains.

The Iranian Factor

The operational success of the western coast offensive has not gone unnoticed by Western intelligence. According to a report by Reuters, the rapid advance was not merely a localised push, but a meticulously planned operation involving officers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force. The report indicates that Iran provided critical intelligence, advanced equipment, and direct tactical guidance to orchestrate the collapse of the Saudi-backed frontlines.

Sanaa’s Diplomatic Offensive: Sovereignty and Safe Passage

Anticipating global anxiety over the security of the Red Sea—a vital artery for global trade—Sanaa’s leadership immediately launched a diplomatic offensive to reassure the international community.

President Mahdi al-Mashat declared that the situation on the western coast has stabilised following the neutralisation of Saudi mobilisations, emphasising the discipline of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Supreme Political Council member Abdulaziz bin Habtor framed the coastal operations strictly as an exercise of Yemeni sovereignty, explicitly stating that they do not threaten international navigation. However, he issued a stern warning against further military escalation, demanding an end to the siege and respect for Yemen’s borders.

Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of the National Negotiating Delegation, echoed these sentiments, describing the campaign as a measure to enforce sovereignty. the IRGC statement declared.

Demonstrating their absolute dominance and readiness, the IRGC Navy intercepted and annihilated the American spy craft. “With the help of Almighty God, the IRGC Navy struck one of the enemy’s unmanned vessels, hull number 5838, a Saildrone, at the entrance to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, thwarting its aggressive mission,” the statement confirmed.

Commander of the IRGC Navy, Rear Admiral Ali Ozmayi, personally confirmed the successful strike, delivering a stern and unmistakable warning to the fading American empire and its hostile forces.

“The Strait of Hormuz is closed and under our intelligence surveillance and smart control. Any hostile move will be targeted,” Rear Admiral Ozmayi asserted, making it clear that the Gulf belongs to the Resistance and those who dare threaten its shores.

This latest victory comes amid an ongoing wave of Iran’s fierce retaliatory operations against the war of aggression being waged on the country. Just a day earlier, on Wednesday, the IRGC targeted and engaged two US vessels, eight oil tankers, and 10 other ships that brazenly attempted to breach the prohibited zones of the Strait of Hormuz.

The destruction of the US Saildrone is yet another testament to the IRGC’s unyielding vigilance and the unbreakable spirit of the Axis of Resistance. As the terrorist US military continues to suffer losses and avoid direct battles, the message from Tehran is absolute: the waters of the Gulf are under the firm grip of the brave defenders of Islam, and any act of aggression will be met with a crushing response.

Reference: <a our era. Despite relentless international condemnation, United Nations resolutions, and ongoing proceedings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the stateless Rohingya population continues to endure an unrelenting campaign of state-sponsored terror, forced displacement, and institutionalised erasure.

Today, as regional governments increasingly look the other way—or worse, actively deport those fleeing the carnage—the global community is forced to confront an uncomfortable reality: the military junta in Naypyidaw does not operate in a vacuum. It is sustained, bankrolled, and armed by a network of complicit foreign nations that prioritise geopolitical leverage and economic interests over human lives.

A Legacy of Apartheid and Genocide

To fully grasp the depth of this crisis, one must examine the decades-long architecture of structural exclusion. For generations, the Rohingya have inhabited Rakhine State, yet they have been systematically stripped of their legal identity. The foundational turning point was the discriminatory 1982 Citizenship Law, enacted by a previous military regime to render the Rohingya stateless overnight. This established a deliberate, institutionalised blueprint of apartheid, imposing severe restrictions on freedom of movement, denying access to healthcare, and criminalising their very existence.

This state-sponsored hostility erupted into a full-scale catastrophe in August 2017, when the Myanmar military launched brutal “clearance operations.” These campaigns were characterised by mass killings, systemic sexual violence, and the deliberate burning of entire villages. UN investigators concluded that these atrocities were executed with clear genocidal intent.

Current Horrors: Forced Conscription and Indiscriminate Warfare

Today, the catastrophe has entered an even more insidious phase. Trapped in squalid displacement camps or under siege in volatile villages, the remaining Rohingya are caught in the deadly crossfire of an escalating civil war. In a cruel irony, the military junta has resorted to forced conscription, abducting young Rohingya men and forcing them to fight on the front lines for the very military that slaughtered their families.

Concurrently, the junta’s primary method of warfare has shifted to devastating airstrikes. Military jets and drones routinely rain indiscriminate fire onto civilian infrastructure, including marketplaces, hospitals, and schools, adding to a mounting death toll that includes hundreds feared dead in recent suspected shipwrecks off the coast of Myanmar as desperate families flee by sea.

The Complicity of the ‘International Community’

The violence is not solely the work of the Myanmar military; it is heavily enabled by regional and international actors. India has repeatedly renewed community and technology aid programs while cementing border demarcation agreements with the illegal regime. Meanwhile, regional commercial hubs like Singapore and Thailand have historically acted as financial conduits, allowing junta-linked brokers to bypass sanctions to source raw materials, electronics, and dual-use equipment vital for domestic weapons manufacturing.

Shockingly, reports have also revealed that Israel provided Myanmar’s military junta with arms and equipment, blatantly ignoring US and European Union embargoes imposed over the country’s human rights abuses. This blatant arming of a genocidal regime underscores the deep hypocrisy of Western human rights rhetoric.

Regional Apathy and the Violation of International Law

The consequence of this international complicity extends far beyond Myanmar’s borders, driving a severe regional migration crisis. Terrified families who risk their lives on treacherous sea voyages or slip across borders are increasingly met with hostility. Regional governments are actively pushing back boats and executing forced deportations under the guise of border control.

This constitutes a flagrant violation of non-refoulement—the bedrock principle of international law that strictly forbids returning individuals to a country where they face a credible threat of torture, persecution, or death. Deporting a Rohingya refugee back to Myanmar is effectively signing their death warrant.

The Agony of Limbo in Bangladesh

For the over one million Rohingya refugees currently residing in Bangladesh, the situation has reached an agonising breaking point. Packed into the world’s largest refugee camp clusters in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char island, they live in perpetual limbo with no realistic prospect of returning home.

Housed in flimsy, temporary shelters made of bamboo and tarpaulin, refugees are highly vulnerable to Bangladesh’s severe monsoon seasons, cyclones, and landslides, which routinely destroy their homes and vital infrastructure. While the government of Bangladesh generously opened its borders in 2017, it maintains that repatriation is the only permanent solution. However, with the Myanmar military junta escalating its violence, stripping the Rohingya of citizenship, and enforcing mandatory conscription, returning home remains an impossibility.

A Call for True Accountability

The international community must refuse to treat the Rohingya crisis as an unfixable tragedy. Empty condemnation without material consequence has achieved nothing. True accountability requires dismantling the external networks keeping the junta alive.

Global bodies and allied nations must aggressively expand sanctions to target financial institutions like the Myanmar Economic Bank and impose a comprehensive global embargo on aviation fuel and arms transfers. Furthermore, governments providing weapons to the junta must be publicly named, shamed, and held legally liable for aiding and abetting war crimes.

Despite accountability measures underway at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the ICJ, Myanmar’s military has yet to face adequate consequences for its atrocity crimes. Securing the safety and human rights of the Rohingya is not just a political issue; it is an urgent test of our collective humanity. Every country that arms the junta or forces a refugee back has blood on its hands. Unless urgent steps are taken to halt the atrocities and achieve true justice, the military’s decades-long impunity will only continue.

Reference: <a Ayatollah Nour Hamadani underscored that unwavering Muslim unity remains the most vital strategy to defeat the shared enemies of the Ummah.

The Trap of Sectarian Strife

The esteemed Ayatollah noted that Global Arrogance and the Zionist entity are actively working to fracture the Muslim world and establish dominance over Islamic nations. He warned that theological and academic differences must remain confined to scholarly debate and never be weaponised to sow discord, fuel sectarian hatred, or justify bloodshed through baseless accusations of disbelief (Takfir).

The Illusion of Limited Hostility

Ayatollah Hamadani dismantled the illusion that American and Zionist hostility is directed solely at the Islamic Republic of Iran. He cautioned Islamic nations that any country seeking true independence, self-determination, and freedom from foreign hegemony will inevitably face the same imperialist wrath. The ultimate goal of the US and the Zionist regime is to ensure the region remains subservient, weak, and fragmented.

The Red Line: No Normalisation with the Zionist Entity

Affirming the foundational principles of the Islamic Revolution, the Ayatollah declared that the Zionist occupation regime and its arrogant backers are the primary enemies of the Muslim Ummah today.

“Any relations with this regime and any support for its existence are unequivocally contrary to the interests of the Muslim Ummah,” he stated, drawing a firm ideological red line against any normalisation or diplomatic compromise.

Inseparable Security and the Call to Resistance

He reminded leaders and nations that the security and dignity of the Islamic world are deeply intertwined. True, sustainable security cannot be achieved in isolation while neighbouring states suffer from instability and division. Ayatollah Hamadani urged the Ummah to reject reliance on foreign powers who only serve their own interests, and instead stand firmly with the steadfast resistance fronts in Palestine, Lebanon, and across the region. Only through unity, awareness, and cooperation can the Islamic world confront the common enemy.

The Sacred Duty of the Ulama

Concluding his message, Ayatollah Nour Hamadani issued a special directive to Islamic scholars, seminaries (Hawzas), and academic centres. He emphasised that the Ulama bear a profound responsibility to awaken the masses, expose the enemy’s deceit, and foster meaningful dialogue. Madrasas and universities must serve as fortresses of Islamic unity and defenders of the Ummah’s interests, rather than arenas for division that only benefit the Zionist-American axis.

From the Sands of Saqqara: 4,300-Year-Old Tomb of an Ancient Judge Reminds the World That Justice Is Eternal

Egyptian-Spanish team uncovers the mastaba of Yunmen, a Fifth Dynasty judge whose life reflected the ancient pursuit of truth, order, and divine justice.

Ra'iyat al-Fikr

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!ek60!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9f77576a-cc99-44f5-ba77-61f736803b4a_1000x589.jpeg" width="1000" height="589" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/9f77576a-cc99-44f5-ba77-61f736803b4a_1000x589.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":589,"width":1000,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":"The site where Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass and his team unearthed a trove of ancient coffins, artifacts, and skulls in a vast necropolis south of Cairo, Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, in Saqqara, south of Cairo, Egypt. He simultaneously served as a judge, oversaw the operations of the royal court, and led the corps of scribes responsible for handling petitions and complaints brought forward by ordinary citizens.

Amr al-Tayeb, director of the Saqqara archaeological site, noted that Yunmen’s work was deeply connected to the ancient Egyptian concept of Maat — the principle and goddess embodying truth, justice, and cosmic order. It is a concept that resonates across civilizations and faiths, echoing the timeless belief that justice is a sacred trust and a divine commandment.

What Lies Within the Tomb

The tomb is a mastaba — a flat-roofed rectangular structure traditionally built for high-ranking officials of the ancient world. It contains two distinct chapels:

Yunmen’s Chapel features an elaborately carved facade adorned with funerary inscriptions and a formal portrait of the judge himself. The interior walls are decorated with vivid scenes of farmers tilling the land, servants carrying offerings, and rituals tied to the afterlife. Remarkably, much of the original paint on these carvings has survived more than four millennia.

The Chapel of Ity includes painted offering scenes and a false door — an architectural element the ancient Egyptians believed served as a spiritual passage through which the deceased could receive sustenance and prayers from the living.

The Excavation Effort

The discovery was made during the current excavation season in the Mariette Cemetery, a section of northern Saqqara first explored by the pioneering French archaeologist Auguste Mariette in the 19th century but never fully studied since.

The ongoing project is a joint collaboration between Spain’s Autonomous University of Barcelona and Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, with one of its key objectives being to map the broader layout of the Saqqara necropolis. Far from mere diplomatic outreach, this systematic infiltration aims to construct a contiguous “Israeli Belt”—a geographic and military continuum stretching from the Horn of Africa to the Gulf of Guinea. Backed by the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), this imperialist project is designed to encircle the Arab and Islamic worlds, secure regional puppet regimes, and further the Zionist agenda against the Axis of Resistance.

Mercenaries for Gaza: Uganda and Burundi’s Treacherous Complicity

The moral bankruptcy of several African regimes has been laid bare by their willingness to act as subcontractors for Zionist atrocities. Recent intelligence indicates that Uganda and Burundi are actively preparing to deploy troops to the Gaza Strip as part of a so-called “International Stabilisation Force.” This move, operating under the auspices of a US-Zionist “Peace Council,” represents a grave betrayal of the Palestinian cause and the broader Global South.

Ugandan dictator Yoweri Museveni has committed 1,200 soldiers to this force, while Burundi is expected to send up to 2,000 troops. For these regimes, participating in the subjugation of Gaza is a transactional bid to secure military and financial concessions from Tel Aviv. Museveni, in particular, views his subservience to the Zionist entity as a lifeline for his dynastic succession. This complicity was grotesquely underscored when his son and heir-apparent, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, attended the unveiling of a statue honouring Yonatan Netanyahu—the notorious Zionist commander killed during the 1976 Entebbe raid.

The Architecture of the “Zionist Belt”

This militarisation is just one pillar of a broader, more sinister geopolitical architecture. By forging security, military, and economic pacts with nations like Cameroon, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Rwanda, and the Central African Republic, the Zionist regime is weaving a web of influence that revives and expands upon David Ben-Gurion’s “Doctrine of the Periphery.”

Unlike the Cold War-era strategy, which sought isolated alliances on the fringes of the Arab world, the modern “Israeli Belt” seeks a continuous geographic continuum. The path begins in the breakaway region of Somaliland, cuts through the heart of the continent via Ethiopia, Uganda, and the Central African Republic, and extends westward to Cameroon. The strategic objective is clear: to create a hostile ring around the Arab world, weaken its national cohesion, and provide the Zionist entity with strategic depth and alternative security corridors far from the Levant.

The Imperialist Nexus and the Threat to African Sovereignty

This aggressive expansion is heavily subsidised and coordinated by the UAE and the United States, who are actively working to integrate the Zionist military-industrial complex into the security apparatuses of developing nations. By providing these regimes with advanced surveillance technology, drones, and counter-insurgency training, the imperialist-Zionist bloc ensures that African nations remain dependent on foreign masters, effectively crushing true Pan-African sovereignty.

A Call for Anti-Imperialist Solidarity

The forging of this “Israeli Belt” poses an existential threat not only to the Palestinian struggle but to the entire Global South. The deployment of African troops to facilitate the ethnic cleansing of Gaza is a historic stain on the continent’s anti-colonial legacy.

It is imperative that anti-imperialist forces, Pan-Africanists, and the Axis of Resistance recognise this coordinated offensive. The liberation of Palestine and the defence of African sovereignty are inextricably linked. The peoples of the Global South must reject the normalisation of the apartheid regime, dismantle these neo-colonial security pacts, and stand united against the Zionist-American project to divide, exploit, and encircle the free nations of the world.

Reference: <a French-Lebanese activist and international law researcher Dr. Lyna al-Tabal has filed a formal complaint in France against extremist Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The lawsuit accuses the Zionist official of direct responsibility for torture, war crimes, kidnapping, and arbitrary detention during the illegal interception of a humanitarian aid vessel bound for besieged Gaza.

Submitted on September 8, 2026, by French lawyer Jean Louis Achache to the Paris Judicial Court’s specialised unit for crimes against humanity, the complaint outlines harrowing violations inflicted upon Dr. al-Tabal. She was among the passengers aboard the Captain Nikos, a civilian vessel participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla.

Illegal Interception in International Waters

The ordeal began in the early hours of October 2, 2025. While navigating peacefully in international waters—approximately 50 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza—Captain Nikos was violently intercepted by Israeli occupation forces. The vessel, carrying crucial humanitarian aid and strictly devoid of any military equipment, was boarded by force. Occupation troops pointed weapons at the activists, illegally diverting the ship to the port of Ashdod.

Systematic Torture and Psychological Warfare

According to the legal filing, Dr. al-Tabal was subjected to a calculated campaign of physical and psychological torture from the moment of her abduction. The Zionist occupation forces denied her food and water for prolonged periods, subjected her to physical beatings, and hurled death threats.

The abuse reached deplorable levels during invasive searches, where al-Tabal was assaulted and her clothes forcibly removed, leaving her exposed in front of male guards in a blatant violation of her dignity. In one instance, she was struck and knocked to the ground, resulting in bleeding from her ear. Female guards reportedly dragged her by the hair before locking her and three other women in a confined metal cage, deliberately exposing them to extreme heat and suffocating conditions.

The psychological torture was equally sadistic. Detainees were denied sleep, stripped of their right to legal counsel, and repeatedly forced to watch footage of the Zionist regime’s genocidal destruction of Gaza and videos from October 7, blasted alongside deafening aircraft sounds and loud music to break their morale.

Ben-Gvir’s Midnight Raid

The complaint heavily implicates extremist minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, highlighting his direct, hands-on role in the abuse. Around 4:00 a.m., Ben-Gvir stormed the women’s detention cell flanked by an armed unit and attack dogs.

He ordered the detained activists to kneel and squat while soldiers pointed their weapons directly at their heads. Ben-Gvir verbally abused the women, labelling them “terrorists,” and threatened them with life imprisonment, sneering that their home countries would be powerless to help them. Upon learning that Dr. al-Tabal was a French national, Ben-Gvir personally approached and interrogated her.

Piercing the Shield of Immunity

Dr. al-Tabal’s lawsuit is part of a wider judicial reckoning in France. According to a recent investigation by Le Monde, 26 French citizens who participated in similar humanitarian sea missions have filed complaints with France’s National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office. These cases involve three separate flotilla interceptions by the Zionist entity between October 2025 and May 2026.

Addressing the core of her legal battle, Dr. al-Tabal emphasised the peaceful nature of their mission. “We did not go to Gaza carrying weapons, but we carried food, solidarity, and a message of life to civilians,” she stated. “Intercepting a civilian vessel in international waters, then torturing and humiliating its passengers, cannot remain outside accountability. This complaint is not only a defence of my rights, but of every civilian who tried to reach a besieged people. We are placing our testimonies before the French judiciary so that political immunity does not become a shield from justice.”

The legal proceedings aim to establish not just individual criminal acts, but the entire chain of command within the Zionist regime that enables such atrocities, sending a clear message that the world’s courts are slowly closing the net on the occupation’s war criminals.

Reference: <a Musa Asad, Deputy of the Muslim University of Morogoro in Tanzania, reflected on the enduring legacy of the Martyred Supreme Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, emphasising his foundational role in strengthening global Islamic unity and defending the oppressed.

Discussing the late Leader’s vision for confronting global arrogance (Istikbar) and its profound impact on the Muslim Ummah, Asad noted that the Martyred Ayatollah Khamenei’s approach was always rooted in unwavering support for the marginalised. “The Martyred Leader’s basis was always standing by the oppressed. Whether in Bosnia or anywhere else in the world, he consistently stood on the side of the marginalised,” Asad stated, highlighting the global reach of the late Imam’s principled stance.

Addressing the Martyred Supreme Leader’s perspective on the Islamic world’s engagement with non-Muslim nations, Asad pointed out that Imam Khamenei advocated for a prophetic approach rooted in courteous and constructive interaction. “We have been instructed by prophetic traditions to interact with them courteously and to inform them. Our duty as Muslims is to interact constructively, explaining the true beauties of Islam so that they can understand it,” he explained.

Asad also noted how recent global events, particularly the ongoing war in Gaza, have served as a catalyst for a worldwide awakening to the reality of the faith. “God has His own ways. Non-Muslims are witnessing what Islam truly is and are seeing the immense power of faith. Praise be to God, they are witnessing this reality and becoming convinced,” he observed.

Concluding his remarks, the Tanzanian scholar stressed that confronting common enemies is essential for strengthening ties among Muslim nations in the wake of the Martyred Leader’s passing. He cited the famous Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who likened the Muslims to a single body—if one part aches, the entire body suffers.

“This is the stage we must reach,” Asad emphasised. “We must set aside minor differences driven by national or personal interests to achieve the true unity the Prophet (PBUH) envisioned and to honour the path of our Martyred Leader.”

Reference: <a Afghanistan’s Shia and Hazara communities, Taliban forces carried out a series of coordinated arrests in Kabul on Sunday, September 6. The crackdown targets prominent Shia leaders, social activists, and religious institutions, reflecting a broader campaign of intimidation by the de facto government.

Targeting Shia Leadership

According to local reports, the Taliban raided the Public Relations Office of Hazara and Shia Leaders. During the operation, forces surrounded the compound and detained several individuals. Among the high-profile figures arrested are Sayed Sufi Gardizi, Sayed Hasan Sharif Balkhabi, and Mohammad Hossein Sangardost. Additionally, visitors, a cook, and guards at the office were also taken into custody.

The Deception of Sayed Sufi Gardizi

Eyewitnesses revealed the deceptive nature of Sayed Sufi Gardizi’s arrest. During a meeting of Shia scholars and elders, Gardizi received a call from the Taliban governor of Kabul requesting his presence at the governor’s office for a supposed meeting. Upon his arrival, he was intercepted by armed Taliban personnel and transferred directly to the Ministry of Justice. His family and associates have since been left in the dark regarding his well-being and exact whereabouts. Despite previously engaging with Taliban officials, this history of engagement offered him no protection from the current wave of persecution.

Following the Seminary Siege

This latest crackdown comes just 24 hours after Taliban forces affiliated with the Ministry of Justice besieged the Khatam al-Nabiyyin Seminary in Kabul. Students and teachers were forced to evacuate, and several individuals associated with the seminary were arrested. The simultaneous targeting of educational and organisational hubs signals a deliberate strategy to dismantle Shia civil and religious infrastructure in the capital.

Mounting Tensions with the Ministry of Justice

The recent arrests appear to be the culmination of rising tensions between Shia community leaders and the Taliban’s Minister of Justice, Abdul Hakim Sharia. In recent months, Shia scholars and former parliament members have openly criticised the Ministry’s hostile policies toward Shia centres. Furthermore, ahead of Muharram, figures like Sufi Gardizi were summoned and pressured to remove religious flags, dismantle water fountains, and limit the use of loudspeakers in Shia neighbourhoods. When community leaders pushed back against these “arbitrary actions,” it seemingly triggered this aggressive retaliation.

Silencing Hazara Media

Adding to the day’s repressive actions, the Taliban also shut down the Kabul office of Rah-e-Farda Television, a private network that primarily serves the Hazara and Shia demographic. Located near the Public Relations Office, its closure marks another attempt to silence Hazara voices and control the narrative.

A Demand for Transparency

As of now, the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice and the Kabul governor’s office have maintained total silence. No official charges have been levelled against the detainees, nor has any legal justification been provided. The sweeping and simultaneous nature of these raids has sparked deep concern among Shia cultural activists and scholars, who are demanding an end to the use of military force against religious and cultural centres. The followers of the Ahlulbayt (AS) in Afghanistan continue to face existential threats as the Taliban tightens its grip, making international vigilance and advocacy for their rights more critical than ever.

Reference: ABNA24

UK Boycotts Illegal Zionist Settlements in Policy 'Reset'; regarding its ties with the Zionist regime, unveiling plans to ban trade with illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank amid growing international condemnation of Tel Aviv’s apartheid practices and escalating settler violence.

UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband is scheduled to outline the comprehensive anti-settlement measures in Parliament on Tuesday. The boycott directly targets the illegal expansion of Zionist colonial outposts on stolen Palestinian land, which are universally recognised as a blatant violation of international law.

The apartheid regime has reacted to the impending trade ban with fury and desperation. Far-right Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich lashed out at London, baselessly accusing the British government of “antisemitism” to deflect from his regime’s ongoing atrocities. He threatened political and economic retaliation, arrogantly declaring that the “British Mandate” over Palestine is over.

Meanwhile, the so-called Israeli minister of national security, Itamar Ben Gvir, demanded that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sanction Britain by formally recognising Argentina’s sovereignty over the Malvinas (Falkland) Islands. In a post on X, Ben Gvir accused the UK of violently occupying the territory and plundering its natural resources, joining Smotrich in demanding the expulsion of the British envoy from Tel Aviv.

This diplomatic rupture marks a notable shift, reflecting the increasing isolation of the Zionist entity among its Western allies. As global outrage continues to mount over Israel’s relentless colonisation of the West Bank and its brutal oppression of the Palestinian people, London’s decision signals a growing fracture in unconditional Western support for the apartheid regime.

Reference: PressTv

Zionist Regime’s Foreign Minister Faces Criminal Complaint in Slovenia Over Gaza Genocide

The Hind Rajab Foundation filed war crimes charges against the Zionist foreign minister ahead of his visit to inaugurate an embassy in Ljubljana.

Ra'iyat al-Fikr

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Jp4I!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F4336b515-4fcb-4546-9214-090f91860183_1000x561.jpeg" width="1000" height="561" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/4336b515-4fcb-4546-9214-090f91860183_1000x561.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":561,"width":1000,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":" The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has officially lodged a criminal complaint in Slovenia against the Zionist regime’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, citing his direct involvement in war crimes and the ongoing genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The complaint was submitted on Monday to the Ljubljana District Prosecutor’s Office and local police, just ahead of Sa’ar’s scheduled visit to the Slovenian capital this week to inaugurate a new embassy for the occupying entity.

According to the HRF, Sa’ar bears heavy criminal responsibility for numerous atrocities committed during the Zionist genocidal war on Gaza. The filing specifically highlights the brutal assault on the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza between October and December 2024, as well as the abduction and ongoing unlawful detention of its director, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiyeh.

Furthermore, the complaint details Sa’ar’s role in the systemic destruction and occupation of Gaza, the forced mass displacement of Palestinian civilians, and the deliberate starvation policies restricting the entry of vital food, water, fuel, and medical supplies into the Strip.

Invoking both Slovenian domestic law and major international legal instruments—including the Fourth Geneva Convention, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the UN Convention against Torture—the pro-Palestinian NGO urged Slovenian authorities to prevent Sa’ar from using diplomatic immunity to evade justice.

“No official, no matter how senior, stands above the law,” stated HRF Director General Dyab Abou Jahjah, demanding that Slovenian authorities thoroughly investigate those responsible for the heinous crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

A Legacy of Martyrdom and Pursuit of Justice

The Hind Rajab Foundation is named in memory of five-year-old Hind Rajab, who was martyred by Zionist occupation forces in January 2024. Hind gained international attention after her agonising, hours-long emergency calls to the Palestinian Red Crescent, begging for rescue while trapped inside a bullet-riddled vehicle in Gaza City. Days later, her body was recovered alongside six of her relatives. The Yemeni Armed Forces have issued a stern and definitive warning to the Riyadh regime, promising that its recurrent acts of terrorism and blatant aggression will be met with severe and unrelenting punishment. The warning comes in the wake of a cowardly Saudi airstrike targeting a correctional facility in the northern province of al-Jawf, resulting in the martyrdom of innocent civilians and the injury of several others.

In an official statement delivered on Monday evening, the Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, condemned the latest massacres committed by the Saudi regime. He highlighted that Riyadh continues to launch devastating airstrikes, enforce a suffocating blockade on the Yemeni people, and actively supply its mercenary proxies with various munitions to destabilise the region.

“The most recent terrorist crimes committed by the Riyadh regime against Yemen include the deadly bombardment of a central prison in the al-Hazm district of al-Jawf, continuous reconnaissance flights over various districts, and the arming of allied militants,” Gen. Saree stated, assuring that the Yemeni military will not allow these atrocities to go unanswered.

The Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population confirmed that the Saudi-American aggression targeted the prison, killing seven individuals—six inmates and a visiting child—and wounding seven others, including a female civilian visitor. Such barbaric acts, carried out with the full logistical and political backing of the United States and its Western allies, underscore the Riyadh regime’s utter disregard for human life and international laws.

Demonstrating their advanced military capabilities and swift resolve, the Yemeni Armed Forces immediately launched a wave of retaliatory strikes targeting vital Saudi Aramco oil infrastructure in the southern region of Jizan. Furthermore, in a display of air defense supremacy, Yemeni air defense units successfully intercepted and shot down a sophisticated US-made CH-4 reconnaissance and combat drone while it was conducting hostile operations over the skies of al-Jawf. This marks the fourth Saudi military drone downed by the Mujahideen in just 24 hours.

These developments arrive within the broader strategic context of the siege. On July 20, the legitimate government in Sana’a announced a comprehensive maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, declaring an end to the 12-year-long “unjust and oppressive siege” imposed by Riyadh, which has sought to exploit Yemen’s resources while starving its people.

As the Saudi regime persists in its US-backed war, initially launched in March 2015 to crush Yemeni independence, the Yemeni Armed Forces remain resolute. The message from Sana’a is clear: the Axis of Resistance will continue to hold the aggressors accountable, and every drop of blood spilt by the Riyadh regime will be answered with the full force of the nation’s military might.

Reference: PressTv

Belgium Blocks 13 Palestinian Scholarship Students Over Fears of 'Domino Effect'

Belgium blocks 13 Palestinian scholars with valid visas, fearing a 'domino effect' of asylum claims, drawing criticism as other European nations evacuate hundreds.

Ra'iyat al-Fikr

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!2JXw!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Ff84e0c1d-4e9a-43d6-8ad3-6ffa57bd3005_1000x588.jpeg" width="1000" height="588" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/f84e0c1d-4e9a-43d6-8ad3-6ffa57bd3005_1000x588.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":588,"width":1000,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":"A man sits with his backpack in the center of the historical Grand Place in Brussels on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022. Speaking to local public broadcaster VRT, Van Bossuyt warned of a potential “domino effect.” She argued that framing the issue around only 13 individuals ignores the likelihood that they might eventually seek family reunification or file for asylum. The minister also questioned why Palestinians from the Gaza Strip should be granted special treatment compared to refugees fleeing other conflict zones like Yemen, Sudan, and Afghanistan.

However, this justification has sparked significant backlash from academic and humanitarian institutions. The University of Antwerp’s rector, Herwig Leirs, emphasised that bringing the students to Belgium is merely a matter of “political will.” Flor Didden from the development organisation 11.11.11 pointed out the glaring contradiction in the minister’s stance, noting that these students were formally invited by Belgian universities, awarded legitimate scholarships, and had even received visas issued directly by Van Bossuyt’s own department.

For some of these students, the bureaucratic deadlock has meant waiting for up to two years to begin their studies.

A European Double Standard?

Belgium’s refusal stands in stark contrast to the actions of other European nations that have successfully evacuated Palestinian scholars from the war-torn enclave.

Italy, for instance, has actively enrolled over 200 Palestinian students through a government-sponsored university corridor launched in 2025. Through its “IUPALS” program, Italy successfully flew 246 scholarship recipients to Italy and San Marino between September 2025 and June of this year. While roughly 50 students remain stuck in Gaza due to bureaucratic delays and language-testing requirements, the Italian effort demonstrates that large-scale evacuation is entirely possible.

Similarly, in the United Kingdom, vice-chancellors from prestigious institutions—including Cambridge, Oxford, and UCL—have warned Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his government that more than 100 accepted Gaza students, 48 of whom hold full scholarships, risk losing their placements without urgent evacuation. The academic leaders have heavily criticised the UK’s ban on Palestinian students bringing dependents with them.

Other nations, including Ireland and France, have coordinated directly with authorities to move students out through the Karem Abu Salem crossing, while the Netherlands successfully evacuated dozens of students via Jordan with what diplomats described as a “limited diplomatic effort.”

Despite the proven success of these international initiatives, Belgium’s leadership, including the foreign minister and the king, have reportedly signalled they can do no more to assist the 13 students, leaving them trapped as the Israeli war on Gaza continues.

Reference: Al-Mayadeen

Iran’s UN Mission Exposes IAEA’s Complicity in US-Zionist Aggression, Rejects Western Threats

Tehran dismisses IAEA compliance demands as 'meaningless,' urging the agency to condemn American and Zionist attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities before issuing hypocritical resolutions.

Ra'iyat al-Fikr

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!4tOb!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fc6235285-8d41-430e-bc39-e7450d35ff10_1000x588.jpeg" width="1000" height="588" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/c6235285-8d41-430e-bc39-e7450d35ff10_1000x588.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":588,"width":1000,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":"IAEA logo is pictured as its Director General Rafael Grossi speaks during a press conference after the Board of Governor’s Meeting at the agency's headquarters in Vienna, Austria on September 7, 2026. Only then, the mission argued, can the “essential grounds” for implementing agency safeguards be established. Until the IAEA and the UN Security Council discharge their mandated responsibilities to uphold international law against aggressors, the Islamic Republic retains the full, sovereign right to protect its national interests independently.

The defiant stance comes as a US-led coalition—comprising Washington, London, Paris, and Berlin—pushes a “desperate” draft resolution to refer Iran to the UN Security Council over its nuclear reporting obligations. Tehran described the Western manoeuvre as a transparent political stunt that will yield “no benefit” and further expose the agency’s subservience to imperialist agendas.

Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi attempted to salvage the agency’s relevance, telling reporters that granting the IAEA access to Iran’s key facilities would supposedly bring “positive repercussions.” “The best, shortest way for a positive outcome is for Iran to engage with us,” Grossi pleaded, conceding that his agency’s technical facade is crumbling amid blatant political interference.

The Islamic Republic remains unfazed by imperialist coercion. Tehran has firmly ruled out granting access to facilities targeted by US and Zionist bombers, signalling that the nation will continue to safeguard its sovereign achievements against the machinations of arrogant global powers.

Reference: Al-Mayadeen

“Bloody Ballot Box”: Parliament Speaker Berri Condemns Zionist Regime’s Barbaric Election Tactics in Southern Lebanon

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri condemns the Zionist regime for using Lebanese blood and the destruction of hospitals as a macabre electoral competition.

Ra'iyat al-Fikr

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Xu-i!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F74a35e98-8f9e-4fca-af0c-981646fb49f7_1000x560.jpeg" width="1000" height="560" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/74a35e98-8f9e-4fca-af0c-981646fb49f7_1000x560.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":560,"width":1000,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":" ahead of the entity’s upcoming October 7 elections.

Speaking on Sunday, the Speaker laid bare the savage nature of the Zionist political and military apparatus. He described the ongoing aggression against the Lebanese South not as a strategic military operation, but as a macabre competition where Zionist politicians and commanders vie for power based on who can murder the most civilians and obliterate the most infrastructure.

Berri’s powerful remarks came just hours after a cowardly Zionist airstrike completely levelled the Ghandour Hospital in the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa. The targeted destruction of a medical facility further exposes the regime’s blatant disregard for all international laws, ceasefire agreements, and basic human decency.

“If these actions indicate anything, they show that the Zionist regime, by continuing its devastating war in a bloody and unprecedented manner, has decisively proven that it has not adhered to any form of ceasefire agreement and has violated all rules, agreements, and understandings,” Berri stated.

He firmly branded the systematic slaughter of Lebanese women and children as pure terrorism, driven by the desperate internal politics of the occupying entity.

Addressing the ongoing carnage, the Parliament Speaker emphasised that the war on the South requires a dual response. On a global scale, he noted that the continuous bloodshed is an “international responsibility, requiring immediate intervention to stop the war against Lebanon.”

However, Berri also issued a rallying cry for domestic unity and steadfastness (sumud). — a disability-accessibility initiative rolled out at a moment when Gaza records the highest child amputation rate anywhere in the world.

The campaign promotes a service that sells single shoes at half price to customers who need only one. Its face: former Israeli soldier Shalev Biton, who lost his left leg after being wounded near Gaza during Israel’s 2021 aggression on the strip. The service launched across Europe in January 2026, was formally announced in March, and has since rolled out in 23 countries — including Adidas outlets in occupied Palestinian territories, as Press TV reported.

Critics say the choice of representative is grotesque given the scale of limb loss Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has inflicted on Palestinians.

“War criminal promotion tactics”

Outrage spread quickly across social media. “ADIDAS launches ‘SINGLE-SHOE SERVICE’ for Israeli soldiers who lost a foot in Gaza. Boycotting is the least we can do,” wrote The Resonance (@Partisan_12), in a post that drew tens of thousands of responses.

Press TV reminded readers that Biton took part in the 2021 Israeli assault on Gaza that killed more than 200 Palestinians and destroyed numerous buildings, and that his social media profiles contain images of him carrying weapons and footage of Israeli troops singing and dancing in Gaza.

Rights activists, journalists and public figures — including Spanish actor Javier Bardem, who shared dozens of stories urging a boycott — have condemned the campaign.

“Gaza has the highest per capita rate of child amputees in the world. More than 5,000 traumatic limb amputations have been estimated since October 2023, as a result of Israeli attacks carried out by soldiers like the one Adidas chose to model for them,” wrote sports journalist Leyla Hamed.

US-based political commentator Guy Christensen called the campaign “actually disgusting when you know kids in Gaza who might not ever get to walk again,” before joining the boycott calls.

Another activist summed up the anger: “The German sportswear brand Adidas is using Zionist war criminals from the ‘Israel’ army, who lost a foot while invading Gaza, to promote their new single-foot sneakers. More than 4,000 Palestinian children have been amputated by ‘Israel’s’ bombs, but Adidas and other millionaire multinationals ignore them.”

Gaza’s amputation catastrophe

The figures behind the outrage are staggering:

Gaza’s Health Ministry, using the Sehhaty system developed with the ICRC, has documented more than 6,000 amputations as of August 2026.

The WHO’s sampled assessment of 2,277 amputees (September 2024–May 2026) found 76% were lower-limb cases and 18% involved children; its data showed roughly 5,300 amputees, with minors nearly a quarter of the total.

Humanity & Inclusion estimates around 4,000 people require roughly 6,000 prosthetic devices, and reported that 70–80% of patients admitted to Gaza’s 12 partially functioning hospitals had lost limbs or suffered spinal cord injuries.

UNICEF estimates roughly 4,000 children have lost limbs since the war began — the highest rate in the world — with up to 10 children a day undergoing leg amputations at the war’s peak. Save the Children documented more than 1,000 child amputations in just the first ten weeks after October 2023.

The tragedy has a face: the heartbreaking image of a 9-year-old Palestinian boy who lost both arms in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City in March 2024 was named the 2025 World Press Photo of the Year.

A rehabilitation system in ruins

Compounding the toll is the near-total collapse of Gaza’s capacity to treat amputees. As of mid-2026, only eight prosthetists-orthotists remained working across the territory. Of roughly 1,500 people who received rehabilitation support through the ICRC, only around 300 were fitted with actual prosthetic devices — fewer than 40 of them were children. Healthcare workers have resorted to homemade prosthetics as temporary aids, while shortages of medical supplies and the continuing blockade complicate treatment. The UN’s Independent International Commission of Inquiry has warned the true toll is likely undercounted.

Not Adidas’ first controversy

The Biton campaign follows a 2024 backlash, when Adidas dropped Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid from a campaign referencing the 1972 Munich Olympics after criticism from “Israel” — later apologising to Hadid without reversing the decision. It also adds to a darker legacy: the company’s founders, the Dassler brothers, were members of the Nazi Party, a history the brand has long downplayed while profiting today from ties to Israeli crimes.

WATCH | Adidas’ dark legacy from Nazi roots to modern-day Israeli crimes

As the boycott grows, campaigners say the message is simple: a brand that profits from accessibility at home cannot celebrate the soldiers of a war that has left Gaza’s children with the world’s highest amputation rate — and then ignore them.

Reference: PressTv | Al-Mayadeen

Iran Defies Cyber Hegemony: Second Homegrown Antivirus 'Ayyza' Unveiled

Iran has unveiled Ayyza, its second domestically developed antivirus. The system is specifically engineered to identify and neutralise complex, multi-stage cyberattacks.

“We tried to use more up-to-date technologies and artificial intelligence to detect complex and multi-stage attacks, while creating a combined ecosystem of XDR, EDR, and antivirus technologies,” Shafieinia stated.

Unmatched Detection and Efficiency

The core engine of Ayyza has been coded entirely by Iranian experts, operating at the Windows kernel level to ensure maximum speed, agility, and precision. Crucially, the software utilises machine learning to identify previously unknown malware and “zero-day” vulnerabilities, meaning its defensive capabilities are not restricted to a pre-existing database of threat signatures.

In addition to its formidable detection rates, the antivirus was optimised to minimise hardware consumption, preserving CPU and RAM usage so that vital operations are not slowed down.

True Digital Independence

Perhaps the most critical feature of Ayyza in the context of Western sanctions and cyber sabotage is its independence from global internet infrastructure. The system can receive updates offline or directly through Iran’s National Information Network (NIN). This ensures that Iranian organisations remain protected even in the event of internet disruptions or foreign-imposed blockades.

Acknowledging the evolving nature of cyber threats, Shafieinia noted that the company has also developed complementary tools, including systems for Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Data Leak Prevention. Furthermore, they have deployed specialised products capable of detecting AI-driven attacks and intelligent agents, feeding real-time threat data back to the Ayyza antivirus.

“We need to move toward integration, coordination and, in technical terms, orchestration among the different security products used by organisations,” he emphasised.

Guarding Critical Infrastructure

The knowledge-based firm behind Ayyza brings 15 years of cybersecurity expertise to the table. Its products are already actively shielding the nation’s most vital sectors, including banking, financial institutions, and government bodies. Today, their established security solutions protect more than 70 sensitive and critical infrastructures across Iran.

This latest achievement underscores the Islamic Republic’s unwavering commitment to neutralising the enemy’s cyber threats and achieving absolute independence in the digital realm. By cutting reliance on foreign software—which often harbours hidden backdoors and vulnerabilities—Iran continues to fortify its cyber defences and protect the nation’s strategic assets.

Reference: PressTv
