TEHRAN, April 24 (MNA) – The Iranian President arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday morning to hold talks with the officials of the South Asian country and attend several inauguration ceremonies.Upon his arrival at the airport, the Iranian president was welcomed by Sri Lankan officials.

The Iranian President is paying a one-day trip to Sri Lanka at the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart.

During this trip, the two countries are set to reach favorable agreements, according to Iranian Government Spokesperson's remarks on Tuesday.

Leading a high-profile delegation, Raisi embarked on a diplomatic journey spanning Islamabad and Sri Lanka.

His arrival in Islamabad on Monday was met with a ceremonial welcome, including greetings from Pakistani Minister of Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada and other dignitaries.
