The Palestinian city of Nablus was in mourning on Thursday after Palestinian Health Ministry announced late Wednesday the martyrdom of two Palestinians, including a prominent resistance fighter.

The Palestinian ministry identified the martyrs as Mohammad Hisham Mohammad Abu Kishk, 22, and Mohammad Ahmad Hassan Herzallah, 30.

Abu Kishk was seriously injured in his abdomen when Israeli occupation forces violently stormed Nablus earlier on Tuesday, which led to the outbreak of clashes with local residents, Palestinian media reported.

Herzallah was pronounced martyred by Nablus-based Lions’ Den resistance group, which praised him as an “exceptional and firm lion,” who was injured earlier in July during a fierce fight with occupation forces in Nablus.

Since July 25, Herzallah has been receiving treatment at Ramallah hospital.

In a statement, Lions' Den called on Palestinians to take part in funeral of the two martyrs.

Palestinian resistance factions hailed Herzallah and Abu Kishk, stressing that the blood of martyrs will make Palestinian people more determined to liberate the land and the sanctities from the Israeli occupation.

Tuesday’s raid in Nablus also killed another Palestinian teen and injured six others including Abu Kishk.

The latest fatalities bring to 202 number of Palestinian martyrs killed by Israeli fire since the start of 2022, including 150 in the West Bank and Al-Quds and 52 in Gaza, Palestinian media reported.
