Ghanbar Naderi Press TV, Tehran Iran’s IRGC Aerospace Force unveils new military hardware, including drones and missiles, during an exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran in the 1980s.

The long-range ballistic and cruise missiles can be used to jam radars and enemy’s electronic equipment or hit hostile targets and launch home-made satellites into orbit.

Officials say the exhibition is much more than a comprehensive showcase for armaments and military equipment.

The exhibition also displays a host of state-of-the-art combat drones, used daily by Iran’s military, in and around its borders.

They can be fitted with different types of missiles, as well, ensuring that Iran is becoming highly advanced in the defense industry.

The UN is expected to lift its arms embargo on Iran in October.

Once that happens, the Iranian military commanders and defense ministry officials say they will prepare the grounds to export Iranian-made conventional arms to international markets.

Iran manufactures warships, submarines, combat vehicles and fighter jets, as well.

This comes despite sanctions and restrictions imposed by the United States and its allies on the country.

The IRGC officials say Iran is among a handful of countries that can manufacture most of its military needs
