On Saturday, supporters of both the Venezuelan government and the opposition took to the streets of the country's capital, Caracas, in order to express their backing for their respective political leaders. On the opposition side, many voiced hope for a free presidential election soon, so that the country might be led by a new leader such as Juan Guaido.

They say if Guaido takes the helm as president, he will be able to tackle the ongoing economic crisis and alleged human rights violations.

Meanwhile, on the revolutionary side, unity and enthusiasm prevailed among demonstrators.
