The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Thursday its daily report in which it announced 4594 new coronavirus cases, 4579 of them for locals and 15 among the arrivals, raising total to 269241.

The report added that 21115 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 158828.

According to the report, 67 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 2151.

To face this sharp increase in the coronavirus cases, the Lebanese authorities extended a total lockdown that has started on January 14 and will be enforced till February 8
