Nearly two million devout pilgrims congregated in the sacred city of Al-Najaf, Iraq, to pay homage to the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, the esteemed first Shia Imam (PBUH).

As per the figures released by the Holy Shrine, an excess of 1.9 million visitors registered to attend the holy sanctuary on the twenty-first night of Ramadan, engaging in an all-night vigil until the break of dawn.

Meanwhile, in Iran, a staggering two million faithful devotees rejoiced in the celebrations of Laylat al-Qadr, held at the hallowed shrine of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Ridha (PBUH) situated in the sanctified city of Mashhad.

Muslims also marked the second Night of Laylat Al-Qader at the shrine of Sayyida Zainab (PBUH) in the outskirts of Damascus.
