The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential elections in the United States of America and said about the importance of consolidating efforts in the face of crises like the coronavirus pandemic.

'Crises like the COVID19 pandemic show the importance of global solidarity in protecting lives and livelihoods,' Tedros said in a tweet.

It is worth noting that the Trump administration approved last July US withdrawal from the WHO despite the coronavirus concerns.
