Abshar Atefeha Charity, which means the cascade of affection in English is the largest and one of the oldest charity institutes in Iran. With over 600 branches across Iran, the charity has over 4100 personnel, providing charity and relief services for some 400,000 people in a range of fields from medicine to education.

The charity recognizes no political boundaries for its humanitarian activities.

Recently, it has opened its new office in Lebanon and is planning to be present in Iraq, Pakistan and Africa.

That’s what has caught the attention of high-ranking Iranian officials as well.

Headquartered in Iran’s holy city of Mashhad, Abshar Atefeha says it follows the teachings of the eighth Shia Imam Reza, whose shrine is located in the holy city attracting millions of pilgrims from across the world.

The international institute says it is hiring translators in all languages to answer calls for help from any point on earth.

Charity workers beyond borders is what this institute brands itself.

It is extending its scope of activity to other nations to push the envelope of humanitarian work and draw a smile on peoples' faces no matter where they are from and what they believe in.
