Yemen’s firm which runs production and distribution of oil warned on Sunday that the Arab impoverished country is running out of fuel, calling the United Nations to bear its international responsibility.

In a statement, Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) appealed for aid, saying vital services in several sectors across Yemen have been deteriorating as the oil in the country is waning.

The company blamed Saudi-UAE coalition for the severe shortage of fuel in Yemen, calling on the UN to bear its responsibility in lifting the blockade imposed on Yemen by the aggression powers.

“The oil ships which aggression powers claimed had arrived in Hodeida Port are all seized by the Saudi-led coalition,” YPC said.

Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.

Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.

The Arab country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
