The northern Gaza Strip is facing a relentless onslaught by Israeli occupation forces, resulting in catastrophic loss of life and a dire humanitarian crisis.
For the 23rd consecutive day, the region has been engulfed in a brutal assault by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), which has persisted for over a year.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 40 Palestinians were killed and more than 80 others injured following an Israeli airstrike on a residential area in Beit Lahia.

This attack has effectively crippled the healthcare system in northern Gaza, with the ministry stating it 'does not know the fate of about 300 medical personnel at Kamal Adwan Hospital.' The Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia has been besieged for several days, trapping 600 individuals, including medical staff and patients.
Additionally, the IOF have targeted emergency services, including ambulances and the Civil Defense, further exacerbating the already dire situation.

Eyewitnesses reported desperate calls for rescue in the aftermath of the attack.

Dr Hassan al-Baba, director of the House of the Holy Quran and Sunnah in Beit Lahia and holder of a doctorate in international law, was martyred in the occupation's massacre in Beit Lahia last night, joining his mother, sister and two daughters who were martyred two weeks ago.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on northern Gaza has been described as a war of extermination and ethnic cleansing, with the IOF intensifying their ground invasion and bombardment of the region since October 5, 2023, in a bid to forcibly displace the residents.
